(Clearwisdom.net) Several officers from Chengxi Police Station of Jiedong County, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province, went to the home of Falun Gong practitioner Dr. Yang Xizhi on the night of December 14, 2010. They deceived her into going to the police station, saying that they needed to talk to her. Later that night the police called Ms. Yang's family to report that, because "Yang Xizhi will not give up Falun Gong, she has been arrested." She has been illegally arrested and detained for four months now. The police did not even let her go home for Chinese New Year. She has elderly parents and young children at home who are now being taken care of by relatives.
Good Doctor Persecuted in Labor Camp and Loses Job
Ms. Yang worked at Ciyun Hospital of Jieyang City Red Cross. After learning Falun Dafa, she took fame and self-interest lightly and declined gifts from patients.
Since the CCP's tyrannical persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20, 1999, the head of Ciyun Hospital has been collaborating with Jieyang City TV Station to organize a series of meetings "to expose and criticize Falun Gong practitioners" in front of all the hospital staff.
Director Guang Honghan threatened Yang Xizhi and several other practitioners with immediate dismissal if they did not give up Falun Gong and hand over all their Dafa books. Dr. Yang explained, "Practicing Falun Dafa is not wrong. It teaches people to be good. I will definitely continue to practice Falun Gong."
The director demoted her twice, and she was finally forced to leave and work as a helper in the cafeteria with very low pay. Guang Honghan also pressured her family. Her family had to give bribes to Director Guang many times so that he would not discontinue Ms. Yang's wages. Guang accepted all the money, but at the same time he notified police and told them to persecute Ms. Yang even more. He even caused trouble in her marriage by suggesting divorce to make Ms. Yang give up her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Pressured by CCP surveillance and financial ruin, Yang Xizhi's husband often beat and cursed her and used threats to try to force her to give up her belief.
In 2002, Dr. Yang was sent to the Sanshui Women's Forced Labor Camp because she was discovered posting truth-clarification flyers and messages about Falun Gong in public places. After the 16th Party Congress ended, she suffered even more brutal persecution. Guard Tian Shuling from the No. 4 Division had her dragged to the workshop to do manual labor. Because she refused to cooperate and do forced labor, they made sure the bottoms of her feet scraped the ground. They were severely injured. There were bloodstains all the way to the workshop. She was handcuffed and hung up, shocked with electric batons, and brutally beaten. She was also frequently put into isolation where the guards took turns trying to brainwash her.

Torture Re-enactment: Hung Up
After her release from the labor camp, Ms. Yang wanted to return to work. But Jieyang City Red Cross Ciyun Hospital refused to reemploy her because she would not give up her belief. When she opened a clinic herself and continued living by Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, her patients and her husband changed their attitude towards her.
Harassed on “Sensitive” CCP Days
In October 2010, police from Jieyang County, Jiedong City, began harassing Dr. Yang on the communist regime's “sensitive days,” such as public holidays and festivals, as well as commemorative days, especially the days marking CCP-perpetrated massacres or incidents of well-known Chinese public figures who have been persecuted.
The 610 Office and police harassed her again right before the torch relay for the 2010 Asian Olympic Games in Jieyang City on October 12, 2010. Jiedong County 610 Office, Internet police, and officers from Chengxi Police Station ransacked her home and illegally detained her for 18 days in the Jiedong County Detention Center.
The police and the Jiedong County 610 Office harassed and bullied her and her family on December 6 before the opening ceremonies for Yuedong Overseas Chinese Fair in the Jieyang Building. On December 9, Pan Junyang from the Jieyang City 610 Office and officers Wang Shangqing and Xie Shaoxong from Chengxi Police Station went to her medical clinic to question and bully her.
During the night of December 14, Ms. Yang Xizhi was taken into custody by Chengxi Police Station officers and has been detained at Jiedong Detention Center ever since.
