(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Liu Furong, a 65-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Jiujiang City in Jiangxi Province, went with her husband and relatives to the Domestic Security Division of the Lushan Police Department, Jiujiang City, on the morning of June 13, 2011, to request the release of her son, Mr. Wu Tengpeng. Mr. Wu is 35 years old and graduated from the Jiangxi Finance and Economics University with a bachelor's degree. However, Zhou Huolong, the political head of the Domestic Security Division, arrested Ms. Liu and later took her to the detention center in Jiujiang City.
Ms. Liu and her son had gone to the Hehualong Community and put up truth-clarification posters on the morning of May 7, 2011. After someone reported them to the police, four officers came and arrested her son, tying up his arms and legs. The officers took him to the Wuli Police Station in the Lushan District and in the evening to the Jiujiang City Detention Center. Mr. Wu has been detained ever since.
Agents from the Domestic Security Divisions in the Xunyang District and the Lushan District, both in Jiujiang City, as well as agents from the Liujiatang Police Station, went to Ms. Liu's home and confiscated her son's business computer. At the end of May, agents from the Domestic Security Division, Lushan Police Department, and 610 Office came again. This time they confiscated two printers and one laptop computer (which has already been returned). They also asked Ms. Liu's husband when she would return home.
The family went to the police department many times to seek Mr. Wu's release. But Wang Nanhua, the deputy head of the police department, as well as the head of the 610 Office, not only refused to reply, but also threatened to arrest Ms. Liu.
After the regime began to persecute Falun Gong, Ms. Liu was detained and sent to labor camps several times. She was tortured in Majialong Forced Labor Camp in Jiujiang City in the following ways: she had dirty rugs stuffed into her mouth, she was handcuffed and hung up, she was not allowed to go to the toilet, she was deprived of sleep, she was put in solitary confinement, she was watched by three drug addict inmates, and she was beaten and injured. Her weight dropped from 60 kilograms to 40 kilograms during her detention. After they released her, she let it be known how terribly she had been treated in the labor camp. Consequently, officials arrested her at her daughter's place in Shanghai and took her to a labor camp for another nine months. When she was released this time, she only weighed about 30 kilograms. Agents from the Liujiatang Police Station in the Lushan District sometimes went to their home and harassed her and her son. Mr. Wu had been incarcerated in a labor camp in Shanghai for two years and was released in the beginning of 2008. Soon after his small business began to run smoothly, he was arrested again. His father went to the Lushan District Police Department on May 9 and asked for the release of his son, but police officials told him that they had nothing to do with this case. Zhou Huolong, the political head at the Domestic Security Division in the Lushan District, and two other agents arrested Ms. Liu on June 13, 2011.
