(Clearwisdom.net) On July 3, 2011, I was shocked to hear that a practitioner named Ying Yue (alias), a co-ordinator in a neighboring county, had recently passed away. I kept seeing her face in my mind. She was advancing diligently in her cultivation and her understanding of the Fa was crystal clear. She had been doing the three things well. Whenever a fellow practitioner had some issues in cultivation, she would study the Fa with the practitioner and share her understanding of the Fa in order to help resolve the issues and advance together. She was also very respectful to Teacher.
Of course, I wondered why Ying Yue passed away. What follows are my thoughts on the matter after discussions with some fellow practitioners.
We all know that we should look inside whenever we encounter problems in our cultivation. This is true even for a person who happens to hear about a situation. As far as Ying Yue's death is concerned, shouldn't those practitioners living in the area look inward for issues and areas for improvement?
I have done some research on the situation and would like to share my understanding from the standpoint of a fellow practitioner. I don't mean to point fingers at anyone.
Ying Yue was the coordinator in her area and she shouldered a lot of Fa validation work. She also had to do her everyday job and take care of her family. At the same time, some practitioners in her area did not cultivate very well and very few stepped up to help her with Fa validation work. This situation put a burden on her. After some time, an attachment and sense of dependence developed among the practitioners. Teacher has told us to walk our own paths in cultivation. Yet the local practitioners had not removed the attachment of relying on the coordinator and had not met the requirements of the Fa for a very long time. Could this be a loophole that was taken advantage of by the old forces? Using the excuse of practitioners' loophole, the old forces may have arranged the car accident which took the coordinator's life.
Teacher told us in the Fa,
“As I've said, everything that happens today in the ordinary society is the result of Dafa disciples' thoughts. Even though the old forces do exist, if you don't have those thoughts they can't do anything. When your righteous thoughts are strong enough the old forces can't do a thing.” ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.")
Ying Yue left us just like that. She left without a word to her family or her fellow practitioners. She hadn't stayed on her path until the day of the Fa's rectification of the human world and the grand celebration by the whole human race. Her death, to a certain extent, has caused difficulties for saving sentient beings. Each and every fellow practitioner should put himself or herself in the situation and gain a better understanding. We definitely must not let such a tragedy happen again. The lesson is profound and the sacrifice is too heavy for us to bear.
While writing this article, I recalled reading an article on the Minghui website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net) entitled “Using a Computer is an Efficient Way To Read Minghui Weekly.” The article's proposal was very good. Imagine how much time and effort would be saved if all practitioners with the financial means, could read Minghui Weekly on their computers. It would certainly alleviate the burden on fellow practitioners who are in charge of printing Dafa materials, and leave them ample time to study the Fa, do exercises, send righteous thoughts, and do the three things well.
Teacher said,
“Your accomplishments reflect mighty virtue gained through sound Fa study and the solidifying of righteous thoughts, and your shortcomings tell of the things that you need to work on along your cultivation path.” ("To the Chicago Fa Conference," June 25, 2006)
So we should take a step forward to truly function as Dafa particles. Let's remember Teacher's Fa,
“Hanging in the balance at this dangerous juncture is nothing less than, for Dafa disciples, the wait of tens of millions of years; for our students, your sole, true wish for coming to this world; and for Master, whether He will manage to widely save sentient beings—including all of you—in this Fa-rectification.” ("What Does it Mean to 'Help Master Rectify the Fa'?")
Please point out anything that falls short of the Fa.
