(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Wu Hanbing started to practice Falun Gong in 1999. She benefited greatly from Falun Dafa, both physically and mentally. Ever since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started its persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, she has suffered mental, physical and financial persecution at the hands of the CCP because of her belief in Falun Dafa.
In 2000, Wu Hanbing was arrested by the local police and was imprisoned at the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp in Hebei Province for one year and nine months. In 2004, the police offered a reward of 10,000 yuan in an attempt to catch her again, simply because she passed out informational materials about Falun Dafa. She became homeless and destitute as a result of the persecution.
On September 17, 2009, Wu Hanbing was arrested at her mother's home by police officers from the Yangshuling Police Department in Pingquan County. The police also ransacked her mother's home. Her 76-year-old mother was frightened badly and fainted.
Wu Hanbing was sentenced to one year and nine months of forced labor again. She was initially imprisoned at Tangshan City Forced Labor Camp. On July 18, 2010, Ms. Wu was transferred to the Hebei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp. Because she firmly persisted in her belief in Falun Dafa during her imprisonment, she was brutally tortured and her term was extended for 15 more days. She was finally released on June 15, 2011, but her family was already broken and she had no home to return to.
The CCP's persecution of Wu Hanbing forced her to become homeless for a long time. This caused extreme physical and mental pain, as well as financial repercussions to her family members. Her husband died from an illness. Because of the police department's constant pressure and threats, her son developed a mental disorder to the point that he could no longer take care of himself. To make matters worse, there was nobody to take care of Wu Hanbing's elderly mother. Her mother worried constantly and missed her daughter, causing her to lead a miserable life with sorrow and fear.
On May 15, 2011, one month before Wu Hanbing was released from the forced labor camp, the two houses she owned were demolished against her will by the city construction planning department using bulldozers. At that time, she was imprisoned at a forced labor camp. Her son was tricked by the police into leaving their home. All of their furniture and personal belongings were inside the home at the time it was destroyed. When her son went back home, he found their home was completely demolished.
Currently, Wu Hanbing and her family live in a rented shack. They do not have any personal belongings. When it rains, the shack leaks. They do not have any income and Wu Hanbing cannot go out to earn money. They are relying on kind people's help just to survive.
