(Clearwisdom.net) On August 6, 2011, during the Wagner Opera Festival in Bayreuth, Germany, Falun Gong practitioners held activities downtown to expose the Chinese Communist Party's brutal persecution of Falun Gong and support the 100 million Chinese people who have renounced the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Many people in town for the festival stopped to sign a petition and condemn the CCP.
In downtown Bayreuth, people stop to learn about Falun Gong and the CCP withdrawals
The Bayreuth festival will stage Wagner operas for 35 days this
summer. The festival attracts professional performing groups,
artists, movie stars, bankers, enterpreneurs and politicians from
around the world. According to the new festival regulations, people
without tickets are able to watch the Wagner opera held on August
24 in an open square, broadcast live to the world. Local media
estimated that more than 10,000 people would show up to the open
square.
Throughout the festival, various performing groups hold concerts,
give music lectures, etc. in theatres in Bayreuth. After tourists
from all over the world learn the facts of Falun Gong and the news
of 100 million Chinese renouncing the CCP, many say they will bring
such information back to their hometowns in different parts of the
world.
From early August to September 3, Falun Gong practitioners will hold activities every Saturday in Bayreuth. The European Association of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is holding an art exhibition in downtown Bayreuth from August 8 to August 21.
In the hall of das Alte Schloss, people learn about Falun Gong and appreciate the paintings
The Truth-Compassion-Forbearance art exhibition was held in a building named das Alte Schloss, which belongs to the Bavarian government. For several years, the building was not rented during the Wagner Opera Festival. Falun Gong practitioners obtained permission to hold the art exhibition after they explained the facts of Falun Gong to Mr. Wilhelm Wenning, the Chairman of Oberfranken in Bavaria.
Many viewers said they were shocked after seeing the paintings that depicted the ongoing persecution in China. Some of them didn’t only condemn the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong, but also showed interest in learning Falun Gong as well.
