(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Bai Sanyuan, from Jingyuan County, Gansu Province, was sentenced to six years in prison in 2010, by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) court system. He has been tortured in the Lanzhou Prison and is suffering from anemia, gallstones, obstructive jaundice, and is in critical condition.
Since the persecution began on July 20, 1999, Mr. Bai has been repeatedly arrested and imprisoned cby the CCP. He has been twice sentenced for a total of nine years in prison. He has been inhumanely tortured in prison and detention centers, and has barely survived. At one point, his entire body was paralyzed, and he could only slightly move his little finger. He was so thin that his the bones were visible, and his roommates at the hospital called him a “living skeleton.” Every time he was released from prison, he was disabled. After his release, his home was repeatedly raided and he was forced to be displaced.
On May 16, 2010, Jingyuan County Public Security Bureau Deputy Director Zhang Mingrui, Domestic Security Team Captain Pan Qianrui, and several other policemen, broke into his home and arrested him. At the Jingyuan County Detention Center, he was twice forced to sit on the "tiger bench." The first time for two days and nights, and the second time for eight days and nights. Consequently, his left leg atrophied and became paralyzed.

On July 12, 2010, Mr. Bai was illegally sentenced to six years in prison. For six months, he was on a hunger strike. He was taken to the Sixth Ward of Lanzhou Prison and force fed for three months, from November 2010 to January 2011. He was interrogated 15 hours a day, and forced to sit on a stool with a paralyzed left leg. The guards made prison inmates monitor him closely.
Prior to January 13, 2011, the guards at the Sixth Ward, Wang Wei, He Qin, and Yang Jianjun, deprived Mr. Bai of sleep, and used the "enduring the eagle" method to torture him. If he dosed off, they punched him in the neck and flicked his eyeballs with their fingers. Guard Wang Mingyu, grabbed Mr. Bai's ears and shook him back and forth. For eight months Mr. Bai was forced to sit on a stool with a bucket of water hung around his neck. The bucket weighted ten kilos (22 lbs.) and did not allow him to bend backwards. In attempts to “transform” him so that he would renounce his faith, the guards formed an “enforcement management team.” They tortured him, and he was locked in solitary confinement.
On January 13, 2011, as snow fell outside, the guards at the Sixth Ward, Wang Wei, He Qin, and Yang Jianjun, along with prison inmates Wang Mingyu, Dang Libin, Zhang Yonglin, and Ma Yibula, poured water on the concrete floor, and pushed Mr. Bai to the ground. They poured icy cold water into his collar so that his cotton shirt and pants were soaking wet. Mr. Bai's body heat was the only method to dry his clothes. If he dosed off, they splashed water on his face to keep him awake.

On July 7, 2011, the Lanzhou Prison political chief, Sixth Ward team leader He Qin, and four others took Mr. Bai home. Shortly after arriving home, Mr. Bai developed egg-size blisters all over his body and head. Mr. Bai has experienced extreme pain around the ribcage and back since July 21. On July 28, he was taken to the Jingyuan County Hospital, but the hospital refused to admit him because of the seriousness of his condition. On July 29, he was admitted to the Lanzhou Hospital ICU. He is currently in critical condition.
