(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Wang Yin, a Falun Gong practitioner, lives in Building #3, Chainan Residential Area, Jilin City. At around 8:00 a.m. on August 24, 2011, police broke into her home, illegally arrested her, and took her to the Shahezi Brainwashing Center. Her parents, in their 80s, went to demand their daughter's release.
Details of the Arrest
When police officers from Chuanying Police Station in Jilin knocked on Ms. Wang's door, she did not open it for them. Instead, she began to clarify the facts about Falun Gong to them through the window. The police broke into the house by forcing open the lock to the door and attempted to arrest her.
Ms. Wang's elderly parents recieved word and called a taxi to get to their daughter's house to stop the arrest. Other relatives also came over to confront the policemen and condemn their actions.
The police deceived Ms. Wang's husband and her aunt into going to the brainwashing center at around 11:00 a.m., leaving the parents and Ms. Wang's brother-in-law home. The police took Ms. Wang away while her mother went to the restroom. They confiscated her computer as well.
Ms. Wang was taken to the Shahezi Brainwashing Center. Her parents and relatives went there the same night, but the gate was closed and locked. This is noteable since her eighty-two-year-old father rarely goes out because he has difficulty walking. They called for her from outside the gate, but couldn't meet with her.
Parents Demand Their Daughter's Release
Ms. Wang's parents and relatives went to the Jilin City 610 Office at 9:00 a.m. on August 25. The staff would not let them go upstairs, but they would not come downstairs to meet them either. After the family kept demanding, staff finally let the family go upstairs.
The parents climbed up to the fourth floor and asked to meet with Bai Yan, the head of the 610 Office. They asked why the police arrested Ms. Wang. A staff member responded, "This case is not within our control. You can go to the Chuanyin District 610 Office."
The family then went to the Huangqitun Street Committee in Chuanyin District and found Sun Zhensheng, the deputy head of the committee at around 3:00 p.m. Sun Zhensheng said, "We were ordered to go there. Breaking into a house is certainly a crime. You can feel free to sue us by going through the Procuratorate."
The family went to meet Liu, head of Huangqitun Police Station in the morning on August 26. During the meeting, the familiy demanded her release. Liu said, "I was following the orders of upper management. You can go ask Yang Bingwen of the Chuanying District 610 Office."
The family went to the Chuanying District 610 Office and asked Yang Bingwen to release Ms. Wang. Yang Bingwen shouted, "If she refuses to be transformed, she will be sent to the prison. We will not release her." Ms. Wang's parents then went to the Shahezi Brainwashing Center to request her daughter's release at 9:00 a.m. on August 26.
Shahezi Brainwashing Center is located in Xiaoguang Village Welfare Home, Shahezi Township, Chuanying District. It is a three-story building. The first and second floor is the welfare home. The third floor is the brainwashing center. The perpetrators use the disabled and mentally disabled people on the first two floors to scare and beat the family members of Falun Gong practitioners who come to seek their release.
