(Minghui.org) The Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center in Lanzhou, Gansu Province is a black prison which detains Falun Gong practitioners. The following are accounts of persecution of practitioners who were sent to the brainwashing center since April 2012.
Ms. Yue Puling, Mr. Chen Jianru, and Ms. Ma Fulan work in the Equipment Management Center of Yaojie Coal and Electric Group. On April 4, 2012, they went to Tiantang Town, Tianzhu County to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. They were reported to police and taken to the Tianzhu Detention Center by officers from the Tiantang Police Station. After being detained for 15 days, Ms. Yue Puling and Mr. Chen Jianru were transferred to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center by Li Ling and other officers from the Honggu District Domestic Security Division, on April 19, 2012.
Mr. Jin Jilin from Yuzhong County was supposedly released from prison on May 2, 2012. His father and son went to the Jiuquan Prison one day prior. The prison deceived them and said that Mr. Jin had been picked up by personnel from Baiyin City. The grandfather and grandson then returned home. Actually, prison guards had handed Mr. Jin over to Gao Yanlin, director of the Yuzhong 610 Office and three Yuzhong police officers at 12:10 a.m on May 2, 2012, who were waiting outside the prison. Mr. Jin was transferred to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center. Those who were detained there at the time included Ms. Zhang Xiuli, retired from the Liancheng Aluminum Factory, and Zhang Luchan from the Lanzhou Electrical Machinery Factory. Zhang Luchan was sent to a labor camp on June 18, 2012.
Ms. Wang Caixia was taken away from her office and sent to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center by officers from the Weiyuanlu Police Office on May 31, 2012.
Ms. Niu Xiaoqin, Ms. Li Ping, Ms. Fu Julan, and Ms. Li Taohua were detained in the Taoshuping Detention Center in Lanzhou for 15 days. They were transferred to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center on the evening of June 25, 2012.
On June 29, 2012, Mr. Niu Wanjiang, Mr. Zhang Zhenmin, Ms. Sun Lanping, Mr. Liu Juhua, and two female practitioners from Baiyin and Shijishan were taken to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center.
In early July, the Chinese Communist Party dispatched a “specialist group” to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center. The group consisted of six teams. Lanzhou Prison assigned a guard to each team. One team lead is Liu Hong from Beijing, and another team lead is Xu Yanhong from the Ziyang Brainwashing Center in Sichuan Province. The specialist group's main responsibility is to persecute and “transform” Falun Gong practitioners every day.
Chen Zhikai and other officers from the Lanzhou Domestic Security Division took Mr. He Jianzhong away from his calligraphy and painting store on October 27, 2012, and sent him to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center. He has been since been transferred to the Lanzhou Second Detention Center.
Only Ms. Liu Juhua is still being detained in the brainwashing center. Please actively work to rescue her.
