(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Lu Shunmin from Xuchang County, Henan Province was illegally sentenced to four years in prison in late January 2012. He is currently being held in Xinmi Prison. This is the second time that Mr. Lu has been imprisoned.
Mr. Lu Shunmin was arrested and his home was ransacked on July 8, 2011 by Zhou Hengwei, head of the Security Division in Xuchang County Police Department, along with officers from the Lingjing Town Police Station. While being held in the Xuchang County Detention Center, Lu was subjected to severe physical abuse and mistreatment. As a result, he was physically weak, his teeth fell out, he had difficulty eating and he became emaciated.
Mr. Lu was arrested by local police in May 2002 as he spoke with people about Falun Gong. He was held at the Xuchang County Detention Center for a year. During the detention, he was forced to wear shackles weighing over 100 pounds. He was later sentenced to an eight-year term and detained in Xinmi Prison in Henan Province. Guards once burned his right middle finger with a cigarette lighter until the finger became charred. They often verbally and physically abused him, and deprived him of sleep as a means of torture.
Mr Lu never wavered in his belief in Falun Dafa, even after eight years of ruthless physical abuse and torture in prison. After he was released, he continued telling people the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution. Unfortunately, he has been once again imprisoned for his kind deeds.
