(Minghui.org) Around 3:00 pm in the afternoon on March 5, 2012, Falun Gong practitioner Huang Shubo of Jiangyan Village, Fate Town, Shulan City, was on the way home from the house of Li Qingying, another Falun Gong practitioner of the same village.
Ms. Shubo was taken into custody by policemen waiting outside the side entrance to Ms. Li Qingying's house. About 20 minutes later, two policemen drove a black car back to Ms. Li's house and tried to also illegally arrest her. Ms. Li's family members did not allow her to be taken away, and she escaped. A policeman made a phone call. In a little while, the director of the local police station Xia Chunlin, two cars, and more than ten people arrived—including several members of a local mafia group, one of them named Zhao Biao.
Li Qingying's family members did not open the door, so the policemen shot their guns several times. They pulled off the door and started to beat Ms. Li's family members (her husband, son, and brother) until their heads were bleeding. Li Qingying's daughter-in-law was cutting vegetables in another room. She came out with a knife in her hand and was petrified with the scene: her family members were all knocked down and being kicked viciously, with blood all over the ground. An officer took the opportunity to take pictures, and several people rushed over to her, pulled her hair, yanking some of it out. They threw her on the ground, picked her up and threw her down again several times. Then she was thrown in the trunk. The policemen took four people into custody, leaving behind a four-year-old child crying loudly.
Xia Chunlin, the director of the local police station, put money and a truth clarifying flier together. He took pictures of the two next to each other to use as “evidence” and then confiscated the money, 2,400 yuan cash. The neighbors who came over and saw the scene were shocked: these are not policemen, they are bandits! In one neighbor's words: “The scene is miserable and unbearable to look at.”
After Ms. Li's family members were taken to the local police station, they were tortured into confessing that they had attacked the police. They were told to wash away the blood on their faces. When they refused, the policemen pulled their hair and slapped their faces until they signed. The policemen forced Li Qingying's son and daughter-in-law to go to their home and get money; they said if the son and daughter brought back money they would release the other two people. Li Qingying's son believed them and brought the money in the next day. However, Xia Chunlin went back on his word and took the three of them to the Nanshan Detention Center for criminal detention. It was said that they were beaten to the extent of having only one last breath.
Xia Chunlin and other police officers tried to gather evidence from the neighbors falsely showing that Li Qingying's family member used a knife, hay-fork, and pickaxe to attack the police. The neighbors said that they didn't see what happened, except that the police had beaten them all down to the ground.
Li Qingying is a rural woman living in the countryside. Since she started practicing Falun Dafa, she has followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in her daily life. Her family life became very harmonious and everyone was happy for her. However, during the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners over past ten years, Li Qingying has repeatedly been taken into custody, brainwashed, and illegally detained. The harassment and arrests by the Chinese communist regime have been disastrous for her family.
Xia Chunlin has been the director of several local police stations in many towns in Shulan City. His persecution of Falun Gong practitioners is extremely cruel.
