(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Zhou Suqiong, 74, lived in Jintang County, Chengdu City. She received a notice from the Shuicheng Police Station on the afternoon of October 27, 2011, saying that she should go to the police station to have her photo taken for a new identification card.
At 11:00 p.m. that day, officers from the Shuicheng Police Station notified Ms. Zhou's son and the head of the brigade to come to the police station to get Ms. Zhou, who was in a coma. But the officer lied, saying, “She is asleep. Don't wake her up.” Ms. Zhou's son is an honest and straightforward man. He signed his name and carried his mother home without thinking too much about it. The next morning, Ms. Zhou didn't wake up, no matter how hard others called her name or shook her. They then found bruises on her back, adhesive tape on her chest, and excrement in her mouth. Her son realized that he had been deceived and took his mother right away to the Jintang County No.1 People's Hospital. Ms. Zhou's family went to question the 610 Office personnel. The officer agreed to pay for the medical expenses provided that they didn't publicize the incident and would help keep it quiet.
During the three months she was hospitalized, Ms. Zhou alternated between being awake and unconscious, and lost her reason. She couldn't express what had happened to her. She only murmured, “Young man, young man, ...” Her condition kept deteriorating and the doctor said, “No more treatment for her. Take her home. Her organs are wasting away. There's no hope of recovery.”
Ms. Zhou passed away on February 8, 2012. Her family did not dare talk to other Falun Gong practitioners about the situation due to the authorities' threats and financial restrictions. Therefore, no further information can be provided at this time.
