(Minghui.org) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing, and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they too be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.
Zhang Shixin is the former National Security chief of Duzhang County, Jiangxi Province. During his service, Zhang followed the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) dictates to relentlessly persecute Falun Gong practitioners.
On July 26, 2007, Zhang arrested practitioner Mr. Liu Qiusheng. He let it be known that he didn't believe in karmic retribution, saying, "If there is any retribution, hit me with it. I am not afraid."
During the 2012 New Year holiday, Zhang suddenly suffered a stroke and fell unconscious. Despite several months of treatment, he remains partially paralyzed and can no longer function well.
Other officials in Duzhang County who followed the dictates of the communist regime to persecute practitioners include Chen Zhenchuo, the former 610 Office director, and Huang Yihui, former National Security chief of Duzhang County. Both were involved in a car accident and had to undergo extensive therapy; both have become handicapped and are considered to have a class II disability.
We advise Hong Liu, the current National Security chief of Duzhang County, and his policemen to take Zhang Shixin as an example for what can happen when one persecutes Falun Gong practitioners: Don't persecute practitioners any longer and don't follow in the footsteps of the two former chiefs.
The following are some cases of Zhang Shixin's involvement in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.
1. Ms. Cao Jinzhen Arrested and Sentenced to Forced Labor
In 2005, Ms. Cao Jinzhen distributed Falun Gong materials in Wangdun Village. She was followed by Zhang Shixin and a group of policemen, including Zhan Meimao. They illegally arrested Ms. Cao Jinzhen and took her to the County Detention Center. After being held there for one month, Ms. Cao was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor, without any court proceedings.
On the morning of July 6, 2007, Zhang Shixin and his henchmen ransacked Ms. Cao’s home and confiscated the book Zhuan Falun. Ms. Cao was not home at the time. The police threatened her family, demanding that they find her or be persecuted.
2. Ms. Hu Huoying Arrested and Sent to Forced Labor Camp
In April 2005, Zhang Shixin arrested Ms. Hu Huoying, a retired worker. Zhang took her to the Majialong Labor Camp in Jiujiang City, where she was held for a year. Her handicapped husband and teenage daughter, a high school sophomore, had no one to take care of them.
Due to the heartache and sorrow, Ms. Hu’s husband died in 2007. Zhang Shixin continued to persecute Ms. Hu thereafter. He and some other policemen, including Fan Changgen, broke into Ms. Hu’s home and confiscated her personal property on July 10, 2007.
On February 29, 2008, Zhang Shixin and a group of police officers arrested Ms Hu again and confiscated her personal property. Ms. Hu was held in the Jiujiang City Detention Center. Just before the Beijing Olympic Games, Ms. Hu was secretly sentenced to a four-year prison term. She was sent to Division No. 3 of Jiangxi Women's Prison, where she was tortured.
3. Mr. Cao Dazhang Arrested and Sentenced to Forced Labor
On June 27, 2007, Zhang Shixin and six policemen arrested practitioner Mr. Cao Dazhang. They ransacked his house and confiscated his personal property, including his computer and a photo of the founder of Falun Gong. They also confiscated a car operated by Mr. Cao, which belonged to a private transport company. Mr. Cao was sentenced to two years of forced labor.
4. Mr. Liu Qiusheng Arrested and Sentenced to Forced Labor
In April 2005, Zhang Shixin and police officers, including Zhan Meimao and Fang Changgen, arrested Mr. Liu Qiusheng. They confiscated his personal property and sentenced him to one and a half years of forced labor.
On July 26, 2007, Zhang Shixin and some police offers broke into Mr. Liu’s office. They arrested him again and ransacked his office. As they didn't find anything, they then ransacked his sister’s home. They confiscated the book Zhuan Falun and two Falun Gong booklets. They held Mr. Liu in the Duchang County Detention Center for two weeks. Mr. Liu told Zhang Shixin, "What goes around comes around. That is the truth." He also told Zhang that those who persecute Falun Gong practitioners would be punished. Zhang Shixin said, "If there is any retribution hit me with it; I am not afraid." Zhang promised all of the policemen that they would get 600 yuan for arresting practitioners.
5. Ms. Yin Yucai Sentenced to an Eight-Year Prison Term
On January 29, 2005, Zhang Shixin and several policemen arrested Ms. Yin Yucai for having Falun Gong truth-clarification materials in her home. Ms. Yin was held in a detention center. In June 2006, she was sentenced to an eight-year prison term without any chance of being released early.
6. Mr. Wang Shenglong and Ms. Zhan Yuzhu Arrested
One afternoon in 2007, practitioners Mr. Wang Shenglong and his wife, Ms. Zhan Yuzhu, were clarifying the facts about Falun Gong in Xailing Village. Someone reported them to the local police. Zhang Shixin and his henchmen arrested the couple, leaving Mr. Wang’s 80-year-old mother alone at home.
