(Minghui.org) I recently watched a movie entitled “Avengers,” and have had a lot of reflections about it. This movie depicts the story of six superheroes who get together to try and save the world. The movie lasts a bit more than two hours. In the first hour, before the evil characters do much, those supermen not only lose their partners, moreover, they almost lose their lives. What's the reason? It is not because of their powers, but rather because they were not cooperating with one another, and ended up fighting with each other. At their meeting, superficially they were talking about how to carry out the battle; however, deep inside, they were pointing fingers at each other. Because they all possessed great powers, they didn't want to listen to one another. Unable to convince each other of their personal views, they ended up arguing, and then they would get more upset and want to fight with each other. During this period, when one superhero saw that the others' mindsets were incorrect, he pointed it out to them by criticizing them and saying that they should be more open-minded, etc. As a result, this triggered conflict with the others. For their meeting, they didn't achieve any concurrence, and thus were laughed at by their enemies. At that stage, the evil characters were well prepared to begin an attack on them, which caught the superheroes off guard.
Facing this situation, the superheroes began to calm down, stopped pointing fingers at each other, and instead began to listen to each others' opinions and tried to cooperate with one another to the best of their abilities. A small group of enemies had caused major chaos at their base camp, resulting in large numbers of casualties among the local citizens. Facing this loss, the superheroes became clear-minded. The organizer, also the coordinator, took the initiative in examining himself to see where he fell short, and then the other superheroes also began to think of their own tactics quietly. In the second half of the movie, their enemies finally arrived for battle and their army appeared to be extremely powerful. The six superheroes remained calm, they selected a team leader, and when the team leader gave orders, the others were responsible for carrying them out. Their division of tasks were very clear. For example, some of them were to directly eliminate the enemies' core force; others were assisting with defense by using their superpowers; some were protecting the local citizens; some headed directly into the evils' base to solve the fundamental problems. During that period, if there was anyone in trouble, other team members would step in to help out. If one of them had great idea, they would share it with others. With great cooperation among themselves, they finally succeeded.
While watching the movie, I couldn't help thinking to myself: How similar this is to our Dafa disciples' cooperation. Teacher also mentioned in his Fa-lectures that we were all Kings descended from heaven; therefore, we all have great abilities. However, no matter how capable we are, if we don't work well with one another, and if we look outward when faced with conflicts, we wont achieve good results. Seeing that, evil beings will be pleased. It's very dangerous to fall into the traps of the evil. The evil beings will continuously take advantage of our loopholes and cause major problems for us. Our gaps are exactly the opportunities that the evil awaits to make use of in terms of attacking each one of us.
“Master wants to save all sentient beings. But the evil forces are truly committing sins against Dafa by using all sentient beings, with the ultimate purpose of destroying them.” (“Dafa is Indestructible” in Essentials for Further Advancement II)
For our Dafa disciples, it is not simply a matter of “cooperating” or “not cooperating” with each other, but rather, if we do well, we will benefit our sentient beings, otherwise they will suffer, and consequently we will fall into the old forces' traps.
All Dafa disciples are like one body; every disciple is like an organ of a person's body. So when our body moves, will our arms or legs not follow, but move in opposite directions? Will our eyes open when they want to open or close when they want to close? That's definitely not the case. If that is the case, there must be something wrong with our bodies. It all depends on how our body gives orders, and on each part following its instructions. Teacher is leading us, and there is no such thing as who is a good or bad practitioner. When one thinks like that, it's one's attachment of jealousy at play. Everything is arranged by Teacher; our role is to take action and cultivate our xinxing by doing Dafa work.
The above is my personal enlightenment, at my limited level. Fellow practitioners, please point out anything inappropriate.
