(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Qin Yueming, from Yichun, Heilongjiang, was persecuted to death at Jiamusi Prison on February 26, 2011. When his wife Ms. Wang Xiuqing and his daughter sought justice for him and tried to sue those responsible for his death, they were arrested and put into a forced labor camp by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) authorities.
In mid-June 2012, Falun Gong practitioners in Heilongjiang Province went out to collect petition signatures for Mr. Qin's family. In the process, they clarified the facts about Falun Gong and persuaded people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Through this journey, they've realized that the situation in China is changing rapidly and that people are waking up to see the oppressive regime in true light. Below are some examples recounted by these practitioners.
“In my eyes, Falun Gong practitioners are the best!”
At an ice cream shop, a practitioner told to the owner and two employees about how Mr. Qin had been persecuted to death and how his family members were arrested for trying to sue the evildoers.
After the practitioner's explanation, the owner said: “What's wrong with practicing Falun Gong? How can they be treated like that! Quite a few of my classmates practice Falun Gong. In my eyes, Falun Gong practitioners are the best!” She signed her name and did not hesitate to put her thumbprint on the petition. The two employees also pressed their thumbprints to show their support and said they wished to put the evildoers to justice.
Elderly Man Waits to Sign the Petition
While practitioners talked to a middle-aged man about Mr. Qin's case and the persecution, an elderly man riding a bicycle stopped on the street and listened to them from afar. The middle-aged man pressed his thumbprint on the petition and agreed to quit the CCP. After he left, the elderly man continued to stand and stare at practitioners.
When practitioners walked a dozen yards and turned around, the elderly man was still looking at them, moving very slowly behind them. They realized that maybe he also wanted to sign his name on the petition. Thus, they walked up to him, explained the facts about Falun Gong and asked if he wanted to sign the petition. The elderly man eagerly signed his name and pressed his thumbprint on the paper. He also agreed to withdraw from the Communist Party. When practitioners told him to remember the words “Falun Dafa is good,” he enthusiastically said, “I will!” Then, he got back on his bike and left.
“What can I do to help?”
After a practitioner showed a gentleman a photo of Mr. Qin after he was persecuted to death and explained the whole case to him, the man asked, “What can I do to help?” The practitioner said: “We hope you lend us righteous support and sign your name on this petition to ask the authorities to release Mr. Qin's family members and put the evildoers to justice.” The gentleman signed his name and pressed his thumbprint without hesitation.
At that time, wind and dark clouds appeared in the sky, indicating that it was about to rain. The gentleman kindly said to the practitioners: “It's pretty cold here, you need to hurry up. I understand everything now.” The kindness in his eyes suggested that his words were truly from his heart.
“I will sign it!”
When practitioners met another gentleman and his wife and explained the facts about Falun Gong to them, the couple eagerly agreed that Falun Gong is good. The man's mother, in her 60s, also came over and said, “Falun Gong is indeed very good.”
However, the couple dared not sign the petition, fearing the communist regime. As they began to leave, the mother suddenly turned around, walked back to the practitioners and very firmly said, “I will sign it!”
Although Falun Gong is still persecuted in China and people are still under a lot of pressure from the communist regime, many Chinese citizens have begun to break through their fear, listen to their heart and seek justice. The persecution will soon end. Before that day comes, we hope people will make the right choice and stand on the side of righteousness.
