The Awakening of Local-level Officials in China
As a result of Falun Gong practitioners in China clarifying the truth and opposing the persecution for the past 13 years, many Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials at the local level in our area are awakening. They do not participate in the persecution and are even protecting practitioners.
On the morning of July 13, 2012, two local practitioners were illegally arrested and sent to a detention center while they were delivering Shen Yun DVDs at a market in a neighboring county.
The village officials immediately alerted the town officials about the issue. The town officials negotiated with the Public Security Bureau of the neighboring county to release them. They told other local practitioners that everything would be fine and that these two practitioners would be back home in 15 days. To rescue our fellow practitioners, we gathered immediately near the detention center to send forth righteous thoughts. Moreover, we clarified the truth about Falun Gong to the village officials and told them that helping Dafa practitioners will bring them good fortune. Just as they said, the illegally-arrested practitioners were released unharmed fifteen days later.
Village Officials Led Villagers to Withdraw from the CCP and its Affiliated Organizations
In Matou town, Fucheng County, Hebei Province, a village official withdrew from the CCP after he came to understand the facts about Falun Gong and the evilness of the CCP and the persecution. He also encouraged others to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
This official never received any orders against Falun Dafa from the higher authorities. Once, when some policemen were chasing after practitioners, the village official protected the practitioners by directing the police in an opposite direction. Later he told others, “These practitioners are good people and I would not betray them. We should protect them!”
