(Minghui.org) Mr. Lin Bo from Fushui City, Liaoning Province was arrested and sentenced to eight years in prison. He is suffering renal failure and his whole body is swollen. There are still four months left to his prison term. The officials of Dongling Prison refuse to release him on medical parole.
Mr. Lin Bo, 51, was the former section chief of the Fushui Bank. At around 8:00 p.m. on January 12, 2005, over a dozen police officers from the Fushui City Police Department broke into Mr. Lin's home and arrested him and Ms. Wang Guoying. They also confiscated many of his personal belongings, worth over 100,000 yuan. Mr. Lin was detained in the Fushui First Detention Center. In June of 2005, he was sentenced to eight years in prison. He has been detained in Dongling Prison in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province.
During his detention in Dongling Prison, he suffered inhuman torture. The prison guards often beat him and shocked him with electric batons. Mr. Lin used to be a healthy person but now suffers renal failure and his whole body is swollen. His legs have hardened and he has difficulty walking. He is on the verge of death. When his family came to visit him, they could barely recognize him. In spite of that, the prison officials refuse to release him on medical parole.
He was only allowed to go to the small prison clinic for treatment and was forced to do labor. In Dongling Prison, practitioner Mr. Xu Dawei was tortured to the point were all his organs were failing and he developed a mental disorder. He died 13 days after he was released upon completing his eight-year term. Mr. Lin's family is deeply worried about his situation.
