(Minghui.org) Around noon on November 6, 2012, Ms. Zhang Xiuhua from the Qixia District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, was arrested by officers from the local 610 Office and Yaohuamen Police Station. The person in charge of the arrest was Di Shoubing, director at Yaohuamen Police Station. They illegally searched her home and confiscated a computer, printer, and personal items.
Ms. Zhang, in her 60s, is retired from The Second Construction Company of SINOPEC in Nanjing. She is honest and straightforward. Since Ms. Zhang started practicing Falun Dafa in 1999, she lived by the principles Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Because she and her husband, Mr. Sun Gengluo, refused to renounce Falun Dafa, they have been arrested and persecuted many times.
On June 2, 2007, her husband, Sun Gengluo, was arrested in Jiangdu City, Yangzhou, for distributing informational materials about Falun Dafa. He refused to renounce Falun Dafa at the Qixia District Brainwashing Center and was transferred to a forced labor camp.
When Ms. Zhang went to Yaohuamen Police Station to demand her husband’s release, she was detained and held for over six months. She had been detained in the Qixia District Brainwashing Center, Nanjing City Detention Center, and Nanjing City Brainwashing Center at different times. In order to “transform” her, the guards at Nanjing City Brainwashing Center added unknown substances to her food, which made her dizzy.
On May 15, 2011, Ms. Zhang and her husband were again arrested. Their home was ransacked. They were held in a brainwashing center at the Jiajia Hotel, Yaohuamen, the Qixia District.
Before they were released, officials from the 610 Office told them, “You may practice Falun Dafa at home. Do not go out! Otherwise, we will smear your reputation on the Internet.”
