A New Life Blessed by Dafa
One night in May 2009, I accidentally discovered that my husband was having an affair. This sudden blow hit me so hard that I simply could not deal with it. It was as if the sky had fallen down.
Over the next few days I was very sad, and I could not get over it. I even thought of suicide. Just then, a Falun Dafa practitioner came to my store (I ran a small supermarket in the village). Seeing that I was unhappy, she told me about Dafa, and gave me a copy of Zhuan Falun. That was May 12, 2009. That is how I began my journey of cultivation.
After studying the Fa, my heart opened up and my mind became clear. Dafa helps people to purify body and mind, and do good deeds. It teaches people to be good, to find their own inadequacies in the middle of conflicts, and to always consider other people first.
From Dafa, I have obtained a new understanding of life. I now understand the meaning of life.
I no longer feel resentment toward my husband; I've forgiven his mistakes. I do not argue or fight with him. Instead, I have calmed down, looked for my own shortcomings and corrected them. I am tolerant and patient. My family life has become harmonious.
Even more amazing is that my health has improved. The stomach pain and headaches from which I suffered for years have disappeared, and I feel healthier.
All this has been given to me by Falun Dafa. My new life is blessed by Dafa!
My Business is Prosperous
After taking up the practice of Falun Dafa, I've come to understand that people should not live just for themselves, but also for others. Before, I only focused on how to make more money. Now I understand how to think from the perspective of customers. Now I get our goods from a reliable wholesaler to ensure product quality. I also lowered our profit margin, so that customers could buy inexpensive yet quality products.
When I encounter customers who deliberately look for flaws, I try to be patient. For example, one customer bought cigarettes. After he'd almost finished a cigarette, he said, "This cigarette has a problem." I did not argue with him and returned his money. I took the opportunity to clarify the facts about Falun Data to him. I said that I believe in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and would not cheat others, as Falun Dafa teaches people to do good deeds and be good people.
There are all kinds of customers. Some customers are very picky, but I treat them with patience. In the winter of 2011, a customer bought a cotton door curtain. She exchanged it four times in the same afternoon. I did not complain at all.
Our store also sells vegetables. Every morning I put the vegetables in order and pick out the bad ones. Then customers pick out the vegetables they like and mess up the area. However, I am not bothered by this. I understand that everyone wants to buy the best, so I just put the vegetables in order again later.
On the morning of February 23, 2012, I found a gold ring beneath the counter when I was cleaning the store. I thought that the owner must be very anxious, but how could I find them? I put the ring in a drawer and waited for the owner to come. I hoped that I would find a way to find the owner if they do not come.
Later, a neighbor who is also a Dafa practitioner came to me. I told her about the lost ring. She said: “Let's wait for two days. We will post an ad if no one comes.” Just then, at about 10 o'clock, a customer from the village asked, "Did anyone find a gold ring?" I asked her what it looked like. She said it was almost the same style as her earrings. The ring really was like the style she wore, so I took it from the drawer and handed it over to her.
She was very excited. She wanted to thank me and told me that the ring was worth over 2,400 yuan. I said: “You do not need to thank me. Please thank the Master of Falun Dafa for teaching me to follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.” She exclaimed excitedly: "Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!"
My neighbor said to her: "You are fortunate that she picked it up; otherwise, you might not have found it again." Another customer chimed in: "You should shop here more often. Dafa practitioners are good people! When they pick up lost money, they do not hide it and instead return it to its owner."
I try to act in accordance with Master's requirements. I never argue with customers.
In May 2011, a building was being constructed on the west side of the village. Many migrants workers came to my store to buy things. I always treated them kindly. I knew it was hard for them to earn money away from home.
My business is blessed by Dafa. The old customers never leave, and many new customers come. Before, we had a daily income of 1,000 yuan. Now it has increased to 3,000-4,000 yuan. At the same time, we receive good feedback from customers. They say things like, “The goods are real. There are no fake goods, and people are nice here.”
After New Year's of 2012 had just passed, a migrant worker from the previous year brought some new workers to shop at our store. He said to me: “I've brought them to your store because you do not cheat people. You have a good heart, and your goods are real.”
People say that we have a good business. Actually, I know this is because of Dafa. Without Dafa, I could not have conducted business this way.
I sincerely hope that everyone comes to understand Dafa and is not misled by the lies. You will be blessed after you learn the truth about Dafa. Please remember these words: "Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!"
Deaf, Mentally Retarded Uncle Learns the Truth
My husband's uncle has been both deaf and mentally retarded since childhood. He now lives with us.
After I obtained the Fa on May 12, 2009, I wanted him to understand the truth about Falun Dafa. But he worshiped the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and Mao Zedong (the first chairman of the CCP). Although he is deaf and mentally retarded, he can read. He often read Mao's articles and was poisoned deeply.
I wrote him a note explaining the beauty of Dafa. However, he did not believe it and lost his temper. When family and friends later came to my house, he told them that I was not good. He stretched out his little finger (meaning not good) and pointed to me. He also used hand gestures to show that he wanted police to arrest me and beat me.
When he saw my neighbor who is a Dafa practitioner come to our store, he tried to chase her away. My neighbor was always nice, however, and did not complain.
I was not upset with him, even though he treated me like this. I understood that he treated me this way because he was deceived by the CCP .
I really care for him and take care of him. I used hand gestures and written notes to explain that Dafa is not like what he thought—Dafa teaches people to be good and helps people to be healthy.
Later, when we had a computer at home, I played truth-clarification DVDs for him, including the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. I also played the Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs.
Gradually, he has come to understand that Dafa teaches people how to be a good person, while the CCP is bad and harms good people. Since then, whenever Dafa is mentioned, he sticks up his thumb (meaning good).
After learning the truth, he started asking me to give customers brochures about Falun Dafa, as well as Dafa amulets. He also carries an amulet with him and shows it to customers. He tells customers that Dafa is “number one.”
Previously, his asthma would flare up in the winter, to the point that he could not move and was bedridden. Last winter, after he'd understood the truth about Dafa, the asthma disappeared.
He is 72 years old this year, and his health is getting better and better. He now always comes to the store to help out.
My uncle thanks Master from the bottom of his heart and hopes that more people come to realize that Falun Dafa is good, so that they, too, could be blessed.
