(Minghui.org) Mr. Zhang Yuhua, a Falun Dafa practitioner from the Daxing District of Beijing, was arrested on October 1, 2013. He is being held in the Daxing District Detention Center. When his parents sought his release at several government agencies, they were threatened.
Arrested and Home Ransacked
Mr. Zhang was arrested on the evening of October 1, 2013, after putting up a banner with the words “Falun Dafa Is Good.”
About a dozen officers from Daxing District Police Department, Daxing Domestic Security Division, Qingyuan Police Station, and local residential committee arrived at Mr. Zhang's home with a locksmith the next morning. They unlocked the door and proceeded to ransack his home. They confiscated Falun Dafa materials and 600 yuan in cash.
The police also broke into Mr. Zhang's parents' home that afternoon. They harassed and threatened them and ransacked their home, too.
Parents Appeal for Release
Mr. Zhang's parents have gone to the police station and the local residential committee to seek justice for their son.
Mr. Zhang's two children miss him very much and are anxiously awaiting his return.
Mr. Zhang's wife was also a Falun Dafa practitioner. She was persecuted to death in April 2012.
Harassing Practitioners from the Daxing District
Many practitioners from the Daxing District were harassed after Mr. Zhang was arrested. Police sometimes went to a few practitioners' homes several times per day. They even went to the homes of practitioners' families to harass them, sometimes even after midnight.
