Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Yusi, an English teacher from Dalian City, was arrested on September 30, 2013, by police officers from the Xigang Police Department. None of the more than 20 officers who participated in the arrest revealed their identity except for one who mentioned his last name. Ms. Wang is currently in a brainwashing center.
Ms. Wang was incarcerated for 10 years in Liaoning Women's Prison for living by the Falun Gong principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and trying to be a good person. She was brutally tortured. The guards stripped her naked and poured cold water over her in the winter.
Ms. Wang graduated from the Dalian University of Foreign Languages and tutored students in the English language. She charged a reasonable fee, and her students' grades improved quickly with her help. All her students are waiting for her release to resume classes.
Arrested for Teaching Students to Be Good
More than 20 officers from the Xigang Police Department broke into Ms. Wang's home around 7 p.m. on August 29, 2013. They arrested her for talking about Falun Gong and teaching her students to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
The police confiscated Dafa books; portraits of Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong; two computers; a printer; and other personal items. Her mother was also arrested and held for five days. Ms. Wang's elderly mother came down with a high fever after her release and is now bedridden.
Ms. Wang was taken to the Dalian City Brainwashing Center, now known as a “Legal Education School,” on September 30, 2013.
The building that housed the Dalian Forced Labor Camp No. 2 Squadron was renovated in the beginning of August 2013, and the Dalian Political and Legal Affairs Committee officials rented an entire floor to use as the brainwashing facility.
Parties responsible for this arrest:
Liu Zhaojun, secretary of the Xigang District PLAC
Gong Ke, director of the Xigang Police Department
Yu Fengsheng, political commissar of the Xigang Police Department
Brutally Tortured in Liaoning Women's Prison
Ms. Wang had been repeatedly persecuted before the recent arrest. She was imprisoned for 10 years in Liaoning Women's Prison in Shenyang City and brutally tortured. According to reports published in November 2003, inmate Xue Lei told practitioners that “the quiet college student Ms. Wang Yusi was striped naked from the waist down, pinched, and beaten by several guards.” Xue Lei also said that she had seen wounds on Ms. Wang's face.
Guards at the Liaoning Women's Prison assigned criminal inmates in December 2005, trying to force practitioners to “transform.”
Ms. Wang was surrounded and beaten by more than 10 people. They stuffed a toilet brush into her mouth and took turns slapping her while pulling her hair. Her entire body, her eyes, and even her face were badly bruised. Ms. Wang was denied use of the restroom and was beaten and verbally abused.
Besides Ms. Wang, practitioners Ms. Yang Yumei, who came down with a severe heart disease due to torture, and Ms. Wang Yusi were often beaten. They were forced to take off their clothes in the winter and the guards and inmates poured cold water over them.
“Legal Education School”
Because of practitioners' continued resistance to the persecution and condemnation by the international community, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) claimed that its forced labor camps were being shut down.
However, the Dalian Forced Labor Camp just changed its name to Dalian Rehabilitation Center. This happened on September 16, 2013.
The “Legal Education Schools,” which are actually brainwashing centers, are specifically set up to “transform” practitioners. They are under the control of the 610 Office and provincial Party committees. A large number of these illegal institutions appeared throughout the nation after the CCP launched the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999.
This system is not sanctioned by the Chinese Constitution or existing Chinese laws. The CCP has created this system for the sole purpose of arresting, detaining, and torturing practitioners outside the law.
The CCP has not changed its stripes—it has just changed its methods of deceiving the Chinese people and continues to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.
