(Minghui.org) Mr. Tian Fengcheng lives in Xiawazi Village, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia. His neighbors all say he is a good person - one in a million. But because he practices Falun Dafa, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes him. Three years ago he was sentenced to prison by the Songshan District Court. He wasn't allowed to visit his injured wife and sick son during that time.
When Mr. Tian was released from prison on April 25, 2013, he went home to a severely injured wife and a son with brain cancer. The local Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the 610 Office ordered him to attend a brainwashing session, but because his son was severely ill, he didn't go. The 610 Office had him arrested again on September 16, 2013.
Wife Handicapped, Son in Critical Condition
Mr. Tian's neighbors all say that he was one of the few nice men in the village. Whenever someone needed help, he was willing to assist them. They are upset that this man's family has been targeted by the local police.
On April 22, 2009, Mr. Tian was arrested by Domstic Security Division officers Xu Guofeng and Liu Long, and was sentenced to three and a half years in prison in Songshan District Court.
After her husband was illegally sentenced, the ill Ms. Gao Shuyun became the family's sole breadwinner. One time when she was wrapping hay into a bundle, the rolling machine cut her right hand and foot. Luckily, she was taken to the hospital in time.
In 2012, Mr. Tian's son, Tian Yuanwei, had a large tumor on his neck. Doctors confirmed that he was in the final stage of cancer. Mr. Tian's wife was distraught and asked the village officials to appeal to the head of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the police department. She only had one request: “Please have pity on me and release my husband. We need to take care of our son.” However, the head of the Committee refused, no matter how much Ms. Shuyun pleaded and wept. One village official got angry and said, “How can you not release him in these circumstances?!” Only then did the committee head agree to look for a solution with his supervisor.
Tortured
Two officers from Chifeng City Prison were delegated to see how Mr. Tian's son was doing. They took pictures, asked questions, looked at the medical records, and reported back to the prison. The prison decided not release Mr. Tian because he hadn't been "transformed." They said it was impossible for him to be released early. He was only allowed to make a supervised phone call.
Mr. Tian used this chance to tell his son, “Please remember to say 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Compassion is good,' and your cancer will go away.”
The warden was extremely angry, and didn't allow Mr. Tian to call his son anymore. Mr. Tian was also tortured.
According to the other prisoners, Mr. Tian was tortured most severely. They had goosebumps whenever they saw him being tortured.
Arrested and Brainwashed
Mr. Tian was released from prison on April 25, 2013. However, the Political and Legal Affairs Committee and 610 Office decided that, because he didn't “transform,” he would be taken to a brainwashing facility. He protested because he wanted to see his son.
Two officers accompanied him to the hospital. It was the first time he had seen his son in three years. His son couldn't even talk. Mr. Tian's wife was there, sobbing. She said the medical expenses were already over 70,000 yuan and that she had had to borrow from relatives and neighbors.
His wife now has metal plates in her arm and feet, and she is handicapped. Their son is hanging on by a thread. The doctor said, “If you can't pay, the medication will be stopped, and he will die.”
The 610 Office scheduled Mr. Tian to attend a brainwashing session after his son is released from the hospital.
Mr. Tian was arrested again on September 16, 2013, by the 610 Office. He may be sent to a brainwashing center.
We call for help to rescue Mr. Tian and hope he will be released soon.
