(Minghui.org) A screening of the award-winning documentary, Free China: The Courage to Believe, was held at the Cinema Massimo in the National Film Museum in Turin, Italy.
The event was hosted by the Human Rights and Tibet Committee of the Piedmont Regional Council, and was co-sponsored by the National Film Museum and the Piedmont regional government. The 150-seat auditorium was filled to capacity.
Co-produced in 2012 by New Tang Dynasty TV and well-known human rights documentary filmmaker, Michael Perlman, Free China tells the stories of two Chinese people who had suffered severe persecution for not giving up their belief in Falun Gong.
The film exposes many of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) crimes against humanity, including its slave labor camps and its practice of forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.
Many audience members were truly shocked by the Party's abject cruelty and evil nature. After the documentary concluded, they expressed their respect and support for Falun Gong.

Many audience members found it hard to believe that people are routinely persecuted in China for following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Virtually every audience member signed a petition condemning the Chinese regime's practice of live organ harvesting. They also took some informational fliers with them to learn more about Falun Gong.
Two secondary school teachers asked if the film could be shown at their respective schools, so that their students could learn about Falun Gong and the persecution. The president of a law society asked if the film could be screened at his next monthly meeting.
An audience member said in an interview that Falun Gong practitioners are “modern-day saints.” He added: "I see history being repeated. The firm resolve that Falun Gong practitioners continue to show, is as sacred as the Christians who had been persecuted during the Roman Empire.”
Several students who were learning the Chinese language said that they had never heard of Falun Gong. After seeing the film, they expressed a strong desire to learn more about the practice.
Audience members from all walks of life expressed a common wish: they wanted the Chinese Communist Party to immediately stop persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Many people took extra fliers with them to share with their family and friends.
