(Minghui.org) More than two dozen Falun Gong practitioners are being illegally detained at the Tumuji Women's Forced Labor Camp, and have been subjected to severe mistreatment. They are often subjected to forced drug administration by the prison guards. The food is frequently laced with toxins, and practitioners are beaten and shocked with electric batons. Beatings of practitioners is a daily occurrence throughout the facility. Younger practitioners are usually beaten, while elderly practitioners are subjected to forced drug administration.
Twenty-five Falun Gong practitioners were transferred from the Daxing Women's Forced Labor Camp in Beijing to the Tumuji Women's Forced Labor Camp in Inner Mongolia on June 21, 2012. These practitioners were transferred because they weren't registered as permanent residents of Beijing, and were among a group of 60 being transferred out of the Daxing facility. The group reached Tumuji on June 22, and were taken directly to the Tumuji Women's Forced Labor Camp after the 18-hour trip.
On July 1, 2012, all the practitioners at Tumuji called out loudly, “Falun Dafa is good!” For this, they were beaten as a group. Among them, practitioner Lu Lin was severely beaten and her clothes were ripped apart. The guards used electric batons to shock her face and arms, which left her face bruised and discolored.
Lu Lin Sentenced to Forced Labor Camp for Submitting an Open Letter Exposing the Persecution
During the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) “Two Conferences” period (March 12, 2012), Lu Lin brought three copies of “An Open Letter to Chairman Hu Jintao, Prime Minister Wen Jiabao, and Chinese Citizens” to an area near the People’s Congress at Tiananmen Square. She had intended to submit her letter to the CCP representatives who were attending the conference, but she was arrested, and subsequently sentenced to forced labor for two and a half years. She is currently being held at the Tumuji Women's Forced Labor Camp.
Ms. Lu protested the persecution at the forced labor camp. She refused the meals, refused to wear the uniforms provided, and also refused to perform forced labor. She was frequently beaten by guards and her clothes were often torn. She was also subjected to electric shock treatment all over her body, until her wounds became infected. The guards then administered forced drug injections, resulting in her becoming absent-minded. She could barely raise her head and was always extremely drowsy.
Poisonous Drug Administration and Toxins Mixed into Food
Ren Juan from the Education Section worked the hardest to persecute Falun Gong practitioners at the Tumuji Women's Forced Labor Camp. He ordered other prisoners to beat practitioners, sometimes taking them to small isolation cells where they were tortured.
A small bed equipped with restraints was specifically prepared to administer drugs to practitioners. The practitioners were bound tightly, then stripped of their clothing and forcibly injected with drugs. Following the injections, the practitioners' bodies became rigid, they were nauseated and had difficulty sleeping.
Practitioners who were not subjected to forced drug administration were given food which was secretly mixed with toxic substances. After eating this food, the practitioners felt drowsy, and their bodies became discolored. They developed dangerously high blood pressure and their faces turned pale.
Twenty-Seven Falun Gong Practitioners Submit Joint Appeal
On January 1, 2013, the 27 Falun Gong practitioners who were illegally detained at the Tumuji Women's Forced Labor Camp in Inner Mongolia submitted a joint appeal to the Procuratorate, stating their innocence and the illegality of the CCP persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. The letter stated, “If the persecution does not stop, the battle to expose the persecution also will not stop.”
Within the confines of such a vicious environment, the practitioners have validated Falun Dafa, exposed the illegal activities taking place at the labor camp, and used the law to protect the constitutional rights of Falun Gong practitioners. They hold out the hope that righteous attorneys will step forward to represent them, uphold justice, and stop the persecution.
