(Minghui.org) Just before the New Year I sent greetings to Teacher through the Minghui website. I thought I had expressed myself very well and included what I wanted. When I read the greetings and poems from other practitioners throughout the world, however, I was shocked and moved to tears.
My fellow practitioners had read the greetings on Minghui, too. They all said, “The greetings on Minghui to Teacher are truly moving.” One practitioner said, “Another practitioner was reading along with me. Our tears were flowing and we finally cried.”
Looking back on what I had written, I noticed that my words were not moving and it seemed to be the work of an ordinary person. It lacked sincerity; it was contrived and superficial. Suddenly, I understood that this represented the difference in one's state of cultivation. It was not a difference in fluency with the language. There is a process involved in being able to respect Teacher and the Fa. The words I read were pristine, pure, and clean and came from the heart, while mine were more like a polite statement to my elders. Also, when I burn incense for Teacher, do Heshi (put my hands together in front of my chest) or kowtow, random thoughts appear in my mind. This should not be the case for a person with an improved character.
Although my celestial eye is not open, I know what Teacher has given me. I know where I am going and what I can achieve. I also know what could happen if Teacher did not help me. I should be absolutely sincere and respectful to Teacher, because he has given me a new life. There is no way I can thank him enough.
