(Minghui.org) Mr. Ma Shuguang and his wife, Mr. Gu Yongjun, and Mr. Shen Guanglu were arrested on the evening of September 11, 2007. Mr. Ma and his wife are retired from Factory 84. Mr. Gu is from Yangjia Village, Shangjia Town, Jichuan District, and Ms. Shen is from Renhe Village, Mengshui Town, Zhoucun District.
About 40 officers were involved in the arrests, including Zibo City 610 Office official Lu, Zhoucun District 610 Office official Yao Junrong, Zhoucun District National Security Team captain Dong Changliang, deputy captains Wang Ping and Zhou Qun, Baoshan District Police Department official Zhao Fengwu, Wangcun Town government official Song Yuling, Wangcun Town Police Station chief Liu Yanjun, Mengshui Town Police Station officers, and Shangjia Town Police Station chief Peng from the Zichuan District.
Mr. Ma's wife was released a month later. The remaining three practitioners were illegally detained for 11 months and then sentenced to five years in prison. They are now in the provincial prison and are being brutally persecuted. Their illegal arrests and sentences are clear evidence of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s abuse of the judicial system.
Practitioners' Property Confiscated
CCP personnel involved in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners know that what they are doing is illegal, so they usually make their arrests and confiscations after dark. They usually do not drive police vehicles or wear police uniforms. They set up ladders and scale security walls.
In June and September 2007, a dozen officers climbed over a wall and broke into Mr. Shen Guanglu's home in the middle of the night twice. They took cash and other personal belongings valued at 3,000 yuan.
CCP personnel from Wangcun Town Police Station led by chief Liu Yanjun broke into Mr. Liu Guangbao's home to arrest him. When they could not find him, they took his son's motorcycle and cell phone. On September 11 at 11:00 p.m., the same officers tricked Mr. and Ms. Ma Shuguang into opening the door and barged into their home in a residential building. They dragged the couple downstairs and put them into a police vehicle. The couple was wearing only underwear, but the police did not allow them to put on any clothes. They also took a laptop, cell phone, audio recorder, suitcase, cushion, and 1,500 yuan in cash without providing a receipt. They then entered practitioner Mr. Gu Yongjun's home and took a computer, DVD recorder, video recorder, and over 1,000 yuan in cash.
Extortion and Threats
CCP personnel Yao Junrong, Dong Changliang, and others climbed over a wall and broke into Mr. Shen Guanglu's home on the evening of September 11, 2007. They could not find him, so they arrested his wife, Zhou Feng. Mr. Shen's son went to the Zhoucun brainwashing center to look for his mother. 610 Office head Yao Junrong did not allow him to see his mother and then brutally beat the 17-year-old boy. He said, “Since your parents practice Falun Gong, I can beat you to death without being held responsible.”
When Zhoucun District National Security Team captain Dong Changliang arrested a practitioner, he shouted in front the crowd, “You can sue me. You can hire an attorney. I don't care. No matter what you do, you cannot win. Central CCP head Zhou Yongkang told us that we don't need to obey the law when dealing with Falun Gong practitioners. We can do whatever we want.”
Mr. Ma Shuguang's wife, Ms. Zhang Chunling, was arrested and persecuted in the Zibo City brainwashing center for a month and had over 10,000 yuan extorted from her. Family members later went to Dong Changliang to get the money back. Dong completely denied that he had taken any money. The family wanted to go to the city police department to appeal. Dong said, “Tell your family not to bother. There is no use. The CCP officials won't be reasonable with you.” All the arrested practitioners had funds extorted from them.
Fabricated Charges
On May 29, 2008, the Zhoucun District Court in Zibo City secretly tried and sentenced the three practitioners mentioned above without notifying their families. The verdict announced: “On April 21, 2008, the Zhoucun District Procuratorate, based on criminal law (2008) No. 36, charges the defendants Ma Shuguang, Gu Yongjun, and Shen Guanglu with robbery.”
The CCP charged the practitioners with "robbery." But when and where did the practitioners ever rob anyone? The verdict offered no explanation. What the verdict stated was: "They downloaded the Falun Gong organization's information from the Internet to use to produce and spread Faun Gong materials.” The "evidence" had nothing to do with the charge! This is how the CCP courts and CCP judges enforce the law arbitrarily. The court employees who participated in the trial included Hei Dachang, Zhang Hong, Sun Changfeng, and Song Tingting. Su Fengying was the public prosecutor from the Procuratorate in this case. They need to be held liable for persecuting practitioners and intentionally breaking the law. Sooner or later they will be investigated and punished.
Brutal Torture
The 11th Prison District of Shandong Province Prison specializes in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Mr. Ma Shuguang, who is in his 60s, was held there for five years and brutally persecuted. He persisted in his belief in Falun Dafa and refused to be “transformed.” Although his health was not good due to the persecution and his blood pressure was as high as 200, the deputy warden and police officer Chen Yan nonetheless incited criminals Han Xiaolei, Zhang Yue, Chen Yulei, Zhang Guochao, and murderer Zhang Dianlong to drag Mr. Ma to the strict team and brutally beat him. They punched him in the head and face, knocking out two of his teeth, loosening the rest, and giving him a concussion. His hands and feet turned numb and he could not grasp anything.
Mr. Ma was arrested on September 11, 2007. On the way to the detention center, the police used a pair of pants to cover his head and brutally beat him. At the detention center, he was deprived of sleep for three days and nights. During the five years he was incarcerated, police incited the criminal inmates to frequently beat and curse him. Prisoner Yang Zhengyu watched him every day and did not let him leave the cell for five years. Ma Shuguang used to be healthy, but in prison he developed severe high blood pressure and numbness in his limbs due to the mistreatment. He was hospitalized twice.
Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Pan Lijun from Laizhou went on a hunger strike to protest the treatment in prison. Zhang Yue and a few other prisoners force-fed him using pliers to pry his mouth open. Practitioner Wang Zhongshi from Wanglu was continually monitored by criminal inmate Yi Jun and was forced to sit on a small bench for nine months. Practitioner Li Qing from Qingdao were held in the strict team twice and brutally persecuted, which caused him to develop severe diabetes.
Practitioner Ms. Yang Jianhua, the wife of Mr. Gu Yongjun, went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa and was arrested. She was sent back to her hometown and brutally persecuted. Her husband, Mr. Gu, was later persecuted so brutally she could no longer bear the huge mental stress. She died due to sickness in January 2013. Mr. Shen Guanglu's elderly father became ill after his son was arrested and also died.
No "rule of law" hinders the CCP
In actuality the examples mentioned above do not compare with the hundreds of incidents of persecution and torture in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, which has been recently reported on.
The crime of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners has been called “a form of evil we have yet to see on this planet.”
Since the CCP started the persecution of Falun Gong, Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist regime has carried out a genocidal policy to “destroy practitioners' reputations, bankrupt them financially, and annihilate them physically.” The CCP-run judicial system in China defies the law and persecutes Falun Gong practitioners without mercy.
