(Minghui.org) Most officials of the Chinese Communist Party are corrupt, and the regime’s “anti-corruption campaign” is nothing more than a show. All punished corrupt officials are victims of the Party’s internal fighting. The disgraced officials who were involved in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners are usually the most corrupt people. Because they actively persecuted practitioners, these people encountered retribution.
Huang Sheng received a life sentence on May 3, 2013, at the Nanjing Intermediate Court, for receiving bribes in the amount of 12,230,000 yuan. All of his personal property was confiscated. Huang Sheng, the former vice governor of Shandong Province, was removed from his job in November 2011. After being arrested and sent to Beijing, he was formally fired in 2012.
Huang Sheng’s wife, Yan Qianzi, his son Huang Yan, and his brother Huang Xudong were all involved in his case. Nine other officials, from the police department and Shandong Liaison Office in Beijing, also bribed him for favors. Bai Hanbing, the director of the Dezhou City Liaison Office in Beijing who was responsible for arresting Falun Gong practitioners in Beijing, bribed Huang Sheng in order to receive his approval. This took place during the opening of Bai’s office in a Beijing hotel. Police officer Wang Qiquan gave Huang money, and was subsequently promoted to be deputy police director in Dezhou.
According to an official Chinese media report, Huang was giving out positions for money. The report stated, “After Huang Sheng became the Party secretary of Dezhou in 2001, the officials of Dezhou discovered that job performance alone could no longer earn them a promotion. They had to pay for it. An official told the reporter that in recent years, almost all official jobs in Dezhou had a price tag attached. The position of a county Party secretary was worth 300,000 yuan, a director of a county was worth 100,000 yuan, and the cheapest position was the deputy town supervisor, at 50,000 yuan.”
Huang Sheng had affairs with women, which was well known. According to a report by the Phoenix.net, “Huang Sheng had 46 mistresses and 46 pieces of real estate. He likes women as young as his own daughter.” A person familiar with Huang said, “He likes young women, who are total strangers to him. While working in Dezhou, every time he traveled to the counties, the last agenda of the day was usually sleeping with a new woman in a hotel.”
Huang Sheng’s downfall appears to be the consequence of corruption, having mistresses, forced removal of residents for land development, and Party infighting, but in reality he received retribution because he persecuted Falun Gong.
During his tenure as Dezhou City Party secretary from July 1999 to February 2007, he was responsible for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. After his promotion to Shandong’s vice governor, he persecuted even more practitioners, throughout the entire province.
When Huang Sheng’s older brother Huang Weilian was the police chief in Weifang City, Shandong Province, he arrested a number of practitioners. He issued an order to have practitioner Jiang Guobo arrested and sentenced. In November 2009, Huang Weilian went to an open market pretending he was an ordinary shopper. When he saw Falun Gong practitioners passing out flyers and clarifying the truth to people, he even accepted a handout, earning the trust of the practitioners. He obtained their names and home addresses, and secretly recorded videos of them. He later arrested these practitioners, had their homes ransacked, and forced them to pay fines. On December 31, 2010, Huang Weilian was fired from his job.
What kind of people are Huang Sheng and his wife? According to Internet articles, “Huang Sheng’s wife Yan Qianzi made huge profits from real estate projects in Dezhou. Once she set her eyes on a piece of land, nothing could stop her from demolishing the existing homes. Quite a few people died because of these forced demolitions. She also obtained a contract for building a road, but the road surface hardly lasted a year before turning into potholes. The poor quality of the materials caused the government a big financial loss. Under an alias, Huang Sheng was a shareholder of a famous Dezhou department store. The Huang couple had accumulated over 100 million yuan while living in Dezhou.”
