(Minghui.org) After reading the article, “Some Thoughts on the Importance of Assimilating to the Fa” published on the Minghui website, I kept thinking of over twenty young practitioners in my county that had attended our group Fa-study at night and group exercises in the morning before the onset of the persecution in 1999. I remember clearly an eight-year-old practitioner who gave a speech during a local experience-sharing conference.
It disturbed my mind thinking that most of them may have stopped practicing Falun Dafa when it was banned in 1999 by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
One day when I was visiting another city, a young man asked me, “Are you ... (name withheld)?” I hesitated and then said, “Yes.” He asked, “Do you remember me? I and my brother practiced Falun Dafa in 1997.” I said, “Ah yes, you used to live on CaiYuan street. I once visited your family. You were about ten years old?” He replied, “Yes. I graduated from college and got married.” Then I said, “Are you still practicing Falun Dafa?” He didn't respond, but smiled shyly. I said, “Do not miss the precious opportunity that only comes once in tens of thousands of years.”
Helping Former Young Practitioners Return to the Practice
Some time ago I and some other practitioners tried to approach former young practitioners to bring them back on the cultivation path. We had a successful experience-sharing meeting on New Year's Eve for these young people and their parents. The speeches made by some young practitioners about remaining steadfast in their cultivation no matter what happens shook up other young practitioners that were lingering in a poor-cultivating state, and also touched our hearts deeply. It is a pity that we had no chance to hold more experience-sharing conferences since then for a variety of reasons.
I know of several young former practitioners in my area who became every day people since they lost the environment of group Fa-study. I always encouraged them not to miss this golden opportunity whenever I met them. They always felt kind of awkward and gave some excuse, such as “Do not worry about us! We might belong to the future practitioners. It is good enough for us to remember the Fa in our hearts.”
As practitioners keep doing the three things we felt that it would be difficult to catch up with the Fa-rectification process, especially for those that were not diligent. What will they face in the future?
Bringing these former young practitioners back to the practice and having experience sharing meetings should be a priority. Our benevolent Master is unwilling to lose one practitioner! It is veteran practitioners' responsibility to help these former young practitioners to return to the practice.
