Li Tiansheng, a city council member, praised Falun Gong practitioners' peaceful resistance. Gu Jinnan, a judge for the Taichung High Court, reviewed the facts of the persecution. He pointed out that the persecution is against the Chinese Communist Party's own laws. Judge Gu stated, “One of the reasons why the persecution is going on is because so many people keep silent.” The judge called upon the Taiwanese people to condemn the communist party's crimes.
Several practitioners shared their experiences of clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to people from China. Seventy-year-old Ms. Wen goes to Riyuetan, a popular tourist spot in Taiwan, to talk to the Chinese visitors there. In order to dispel the lies and slander of the CCP, Mr. Chen makes phone calls to China, telling people the facts about Falun Gong. One day, he talked to a police chief in Shandong Province on the phone. At the beginning, the police chief cursed Mr. Chen. But Mr. Chen was not moved. He patiently told the police the truth about Falun Gong and answered all of his questions. Before he hung up the phone, the police chief said, “Thank you. Now I understand everything.” Mr. Chen believes that those who know the truth will not take part in the persecution anymore. Mr. Chen has been making phone calls to China to clarify the truth to the Chinese people for the past nine years.
