(Minghui.org) Many practitioners have been persecuted by officers from the Baijulu Police Station in Changchun since the onset of the persecution initiated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in July 1999. Details follow.
Arresting Practitioners
Mr. Hou Chuanren was arrested on July 25, 2002, by officers from the Baijulu Police Station, 610 Office, and Chaoyang Police Department. He was held at Weizigou Detention Center in Changchun for 15 days. Instead of releasing him on August 10, he was transferred back to the Baijulu Police Station. Officers from the Baijulu Police Station and Changchun 610 Office collaborated to have him taken to the Changchun Forced Labor Camp at 4 p.m. on August 10, 2002. No legal procedures were observed.
Ms. Xu Bin was arrested on the afternoon of September 17, 2009, by Baijulu Police Station officers when she was clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa. Officer Dong Junguo (Badge number: 106679) took her to the Weizigou Detention Center where she was held for a few days.
Ms. Duan Ling, Wang Xiaoguang, and Ms. Zuo were arrested by the Baijulu Police Station on March 30, 2011 and held at Weizigou Detention Center for a few days.
Ms. Wang Yajun, around 60 years old, lives in the same building as the Baijulu Police Station. On May 15, 2007, she was arrested by officers from the Baijulu Police Station and Changchun Domestic Security Division and sentenced to two years in Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp. She was tortured in the camp until she could barely walk, and her teeth were loosened because of force-feeding. After she was released, officers from the Baijulu Police Station monitored and harassed her regularly. Her home was ransacked and all her Falun Dafa books confiscated. She has been taken to the brainwashing center many times. On the afternoon of July 16, 2013, Ms. Wang went to Baijulu Police Station to ask for the return of all her Falun Dafa books. Instead of returning the books, they burned all the books and the picture of Master Li Hongzhi outside the police station, made her watch, and then arrested her.
Committing Violence Against Peaceful Practitioners
Practitioners have provided information about the violence committed against them.
"I am a 76 year old woman. After learning Falun Gong, I returned to good health after having suffered from glaucoma, nephritis, and heart disease. On February 2, 2002, I was arrested by officers from the Baijulu Police Station when I was visiting my relatives. They said, 'We will arrest anyone that practices Falun Dafa.'
"While being held in the Baijulu Police Station, officer Wang Yahui beat me for close to 10 hours and demanded that I admit guilt. During my 11 days of detention, I went on a hunger strike to protest my detention. My heart beat was very weak and they even couldn't find my pulse. I was tortured until I was near death. However, officers Wang Baijun and Wang Yahui denied responsibility and refused to pay for my emergency treatment."
Another practitioner said, “I have been homeless. On the morning of January 30, 2004, I was distributing different Falun Dafa informational materials and posted them on the streets. I was arrested and taken to Baijulu Police Station. They ordered me to tell them my name, beat me, and burned me with cigarettes to get me to talk."
Extorting Money
Mr. Li Zhiyong was arrested on October 26, 2007, on his way to the Baijulu Police Station to get his identification card renewed. They arrested him as "an escaped criminal," because the release documents from his last detention were not complete. He had been sentenced to four years on March 2002 and was tortured in Jilin Prison. He was released on medical parole. Mr. Li brought over 1,000 yuan in cash with him. The police confiscated 500 yuan.
On May 13, 2013, officers from the Baijulu Police Station arrested Ms. Zhu Wei, Ms. Wang Ting, and Ms. Bai Xue when they were informing people about the persecution of Falun Dafa at the Baijulu Market. Their homes were ransacked and two printers, some cash, a computer, and all Falun Dafa books were confiscated. Later, they were transferred to the Weizigou Detention Center in Changchun.
Ms. Pang Li lives in Jianshe Street in the Chaoyang District of Changchun. Baijulu Police Station officers arrested her on June 3, and took her to the No. 3 Detention Center in Changchun. Police confiscated her computer, printer, her and her son's cell phones, her husband's stamp albums, and over 100,000 yuan. Her husband asked for their return, but the officers refused.
Practitioners' Family Members Suffer
Ms. Wang Yajun's 80-year-old paralyzed mother was left unattended when Ms. Wang was arrested on May 15, 2007. Her mother died while Ms. Wang was held in the Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Jilin Province.
Ms. Li Hongxia was arrested on October 23, 2009, on her return from the hospital where her husband was receiving emergency treatment. She was later sentenced to one year in Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp by officers from the Baijulu Police Station. She has two children under 18 and a husband in a vegetative state at home.
Ms. Pang Li was arrested on June 3, 2013, by officers from the Baijulu Police Station. No one looks after her disabled son since her arrest.
We call for all Baijulu Police Station officials to stop the persecution immediately.
