(Minghui.org) Mr. Wang Kuangsheng, a practitioner in Henan Province, has been illegally detained for over a year. People in his community are petitioning for his release. So far, 503 signatures have been collected.
503 People have signed the petition calling for the release of Mr. Wang Kuangsheng.
His case has been rejected by the Heshan District Court and the district Procuratorate and returned to the Heshan District police station, where it was submitted. However, the police station didn't process Mr. Wang's release, but continued detaining him.
A trial scheduled on October 16, 2013 was canceled and never rescheduled at the Heshan District Court. Li Guihong, chief of the court, has been avoiding phone calls and in-person inquiries from Mr. Wang's family members.
Meanwhile, personnel of the local 610 Office and police station have been harassing and intimidating Mr. Wang's wife. She has been ill since the arrest, and has been under tremendous pressure from the authorities.
During November 26, 2013 and December 3, 2013, she was frequently harassed. The agents from the local 610 Office and police station even threatened her, saying, “We do not care if you are sick. We can still take you to the police station on a stretcher.”
Mr. Wang Kuangsheng was an employee of the No. 9 Mining Division of the Hemei Company, a subsidiary of the Henan Coal and Chemical Group.
Li Qingzhou, manager of the security department at the company, tricked Mr. Wang into going to the Heshan District Police Department for a “conversation” on November 29, 2012. He was arrested there.
The family hired Attorney Wang Yajun from Beijing to represent Mr. Wang and help with his case.
