(Minghui.org) More and more practitioners are designing greeting cards for Master to celebrate the holidays. When using the Falun emblem, the typesetting on some of the cards has been inappropriate. I would like to share some of my understandings.
Master said,
“The symbol of our Falun Dafa is Falun. Those with supernormal abilities can see that this Falun is rotating. The same is true for our small Falun badges, which are also rotating. Our cultivation practice is guided by Zhen-Shan-Ren, the characteristic of the universe, and by the principles of the cosmos’ evolution. Therefore, what we cultivate is quite immense. In a sense, this Falun emblem is a miniature of the universe.” (Zhuan Falun)
A practitioner should understand that the Falun emblem is sacred. When we use the emblem on greeting cards, we should pay attention to the following:
1. We should not change the pattern of the Falun emblem, and only use the original image. When we enlarge or reduce the Falun emblem, we should keep the original aspect ratio. On some cards, the emblem appears in an oval shape, which is inappropriate.
2. As for the graphic design, the Falun emblem should be placed in the upper half of the overall design, and be presented as the main object, as opposed to being part of the decoration. In the design, the emblem should appear magnificent and solemn.
3. We may add light outside of the Falun emblem to show its mighty power, but we should not add other types of framing to the emblem. Some cards have displayed the Falun as a pendant, which is also inappropriate.
4. The words of greeting should not cover or overwrite the Falun.
Master gave us the Falun emblem to help us in saving sentient beings during the Fa-rectification. When we make cards to greet Master, it's the best and most meaningful if we keep the Falun emblem in its original form.
Of course, ordinary people can also see the cards we make and that would be validating the Fa if we make a very nice looking card.
In the process, we must treat the Falun emblem with respect, which will also show that we respect Master and the Fa as well.
Please point out anything inappropriate.
