(Minghui.org) Ms. Qi Junling's attorney received a call on February 14, 2014, from the Yunhe District Court that his client would be tried on the morning of February 20. In the afternoon on February 18, the attorney was notified that the date was changed to February 26. On February 21 the trial was canceled altogether. A new trial date has not yet been set.
Arrested and Detained Since December
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Qi Junling went to the Jiahe District on December 16, 2013, to clarify the truth about the persecution to local residents. Tang Guoli and Li Yi, captain and deputy captain of the Domestic Security Division of the Yunhe Police Department, arrested her. The following day they admitted her to the Cangzhou City Detention Center, where she remains.
Ms. Qi's family hired an attorney, who was told that her case was sent to the Yunhe District Court. The presiding judge, Ma Yongsheng, told the attorney that her case couldn't be heard until February 2014.
Previously Tortured in the Forced Labor Camp in Hebei Province
Ms. Qi was distributing Falun Gong fliers at 6:00 p.m. on May 27, 2010, when she was arrested and taken to the Yunhe Police Department. The police searched her apartment and incarcerated her in the Cangzhou City Detention Center. She was later transferred to the Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp, where she was tortured for a year and half.
Torture reenactment: Shocked with electric batons
Officer Lu Yaqin (female, badge number 1356086) in the camp's 3rd brigade shocked Ms. Qi with an electric baton for a full 40 minutes on August 15, 2011. Her face, mouth, and body were covered with bruises and large blisters, and her body was swollen.
Later, Ms. Qi was locked in solitary confinement.
Ms. Qi was scheduled to be released on November 26, 2011, but was not. She went on a hunger strike in protest and was savagely force fed.
