(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Zhenli disappeared on March 3, 2014. The police later notified her family that she was arrested and has been detained at Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center in Dongxihu District since March 5.
This was Ms. Liu's third arrest for her belief in Falun Gong. According to the police, she was arrested because she distributed Falun Gong informational materials, which was detected by a surveillance camera.
Previous Arrests and Abuse
Ms. Liu, in her 30s, works at a cotton mill at Dongxishu District, Wuhan City. She was first arrested on June 8, 2011 at her home. Participants in the arrest included officer Hou Chaoqun, and Ke Shenqin, head of the mill security section, and several officers from the Xingozhen Police Station and the mill security section. Ms. Liu was then forced to attend brainwash sessions organized at the armed militia training base in Baiquan Farm for more than 40 days.
She was arrested for a second time on April 13, 2012. She had just returned from working out of town, when a dozen of officers climbed over the wall and broke into her house. They ransacked her home. Ms. Liu was first detained at the police station and then transferred to the Hewan Forced Labor Camp.
