(Minghui.org) Shandong Province Prison incarcerates male Falun Gong practitioners not only from Shandong but from all over China. Currently there are about 60 practitioners in the prison.
The guards torture them to try to make them renounce Falun Gong. Practitioners are often denied family visits.
Those who refuse to renounce Falun Gong and those who once renounced the practice but returned to it again are held in ward 11.
Mr. Wang Zhansuo, Mr. Tang Peiwu, and Mr. Liu Ruping were caught reading Falun Gong articles and were put under strict management. They were forced to sit still on small stools for long periods of time every day, and food and sleep were held to a minimum for two months.
Mr. Huang Min, in his 70s, was sentenced to a 20-year term and has been imprisoned for many years. Mr. Huang didn't eat meat, and when he couldn't eat the prison meals, the guards force fed him.
Mr. Zhang Xingwu's family was finally allowed to see him for the first time after he was in prison for six months. Most of the practitioners don't get to see their families for anywhere from months to two years.
Most family visits are restricted to five or ten minutes and then the conversations are monitored and interrupted if practitioners speak of what is going on inside the prison.
