(Minghui.org) Mr. Wu Zhidan’s mother, Ms. Zhang Mingxiao, and his wife were seriously injured after being beaten by police officers Wang Jijun and Wang Jishu from the Xiyuan Police Station in Shijiazhuang City, during a raid on Mr. Wu’s house at 10:30 a.m. on March 8, 2014. The police ransacked the place and confiscated Falun Gong books and two MP3 players.
During the search, police head Wang Jijun asked Ms. Zhang Mingxiao if she still wanted to practice Falun Gong. When Ms. Zhang said yes, Wang Jijun and Wang Jishu began to punch and kick her in the head, face and back, leaving her unconscious. When Wang Jijun tried to take Ms. Zhang away, her daughter-in-law, Mr. Wu’s wife, tried to stop them, but she was also beaten.
Ms. Zhang is still in great pain as a result of the injuries sustained during the attack. She cannot straighten her back. Her eyes are severely bruised and her cheeks swollen. Mr. Wu’s wife's face is also still swollen. She has a lump on her forehead, a scar on her nose and multiple wounds on her body.
On February 26, 2014 at 7:30 a.m., officer Fu Yuzhou went to Mr. Wu’s house, asking where he worked and the phone number. But Mr. Wu’s family refused to provide the information. That evening, two officers went to the house to harass them. This time, Mr. Wu’s family members refused to open the door.
Officers from the Xiyuan Police Station had previously ransacked Mr. Wu's house. They went there on the evening of December 21, 2012, claiming that they were checking on some tenants in the area. When Mr. Wu opened the door, they pushed their way in and ransacked his house. They confiscated a computer, laptop, printer and a number of Falun Gong books. Mr. Wu Zhidan was detained for fourteen days.
