(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioner Xinxin, a Chinese expatriate living overseas, called her family in China during Chinese New Year. She greeted them, shared with them facts about Falun Dafa, and information on quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. She also called two relatives, with whom she had lost contact, on February 3, 2014. The two relatives are sisters and are about the same age as Xinxin.
Persuading a High School Vice Principal to Quit the Party
Xinxin called the older relative three times, but could not connect properly due to network problems. The fourth call connected and she introduced herself. This relative was pleasantly surprised. After all, they had not been in touch for more than 20 years. They exchanged contact information.
This relative is a vice principal at a prestigious high school. Xinxin said, “Come and visit me.” The relative replied, “I have visited France with my child.” Xinxin asked, “Did you notice anything different from China?” She replied, “Oh yes, I saw things that were different from China.”
Xinxin asked if she knew that she practiced Falun Gong, and the relative replied that she didn't. Xinxin then briefly talked about Falun Gong and the persecution by the communist regime, and added, “The CCP has fabricated lies to slander Falun Gong. This is similar to the Cultural Revolution, when your grandfather was persecuted. We should be clearheaded and not blindly participate in the persecution against Falun Gong.” Her relative replied, “I'm aware of that. We often receive letters from Falun Gong practitioners, and we read them. There is also a practitioner working at my high school.” Xinxin cautioned, “I hope you don't give her a hard time.” She replied, “I won't bother her. That is not part of my responsibility anyway. People should have the freedom to practice whatever they want.”
Xinxin said, “That is the right thing to do. Now how about quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations? I can help you create a pen name to quit the Party.” Her relative sounded a bit afraid, so she said, “I know what to do.” She rephrased her question, “Just remember this pen name and thank me.” Her relative said, “Thank you! Thank you!”
Deputy Division Commander Quits the CCP
Xinxin next called her other relative. When the woman asked who was calling, she introduced herself, and the woman's tone changed to sound like that of a happy child. Xinxin invited her relative to visit. But her relative said that she could not leave China as long as she was serving in the military.” She jokingly added, “Maybe I should quit the military so that I can visit you overseas.” She explained that she was a deputy division commander.
Her relative continued, “Now that you live overseas, please don't forget you are still Chinese. You should send home foreign currency to help build the country, support Project Hope [a project launched in China to help poor children go to school], and assist the poor people in China.” Xinxin replied, “I sure will. I'm Chinese no matter where I live. The problem is, if I send money to China it might fall into the hands of corrupt officials. The money wouldn't be spent on the poor children. These officials spend tens of thousands of yuan on lavish meals. If they spent less on these meals, Project Hope would have more money and wouldn't have to depend on donations.”
Xinxin asked, “Are you asking me to donate money because you got the information from the television broadcast?” He relative replied, “I don't watch the news on television, as it is all propaganda.”
Xinxin then told her that she practices Falun Gong, and to advised her not to believe the CCP lies. She continued, “I'm calling you today to let you know about something very important, and that is 'quitting the Party and its affiliated organizations.' More than 150 million people have quit the Party and its affiliates. I can help you create a pen name to quit, and it won't affect your current job.” Her relative immediately agreed.
Xinxin asked, “Have any practitioners called you before?” Her relative said, “No. This is the first time.” Xinxin added, “You were probably waiting for my call.” The two women had a happy conversation before ending the call.
