(Minghui.org) Ms. Xu Huiping from Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, has been persecuted to ill health for practicing Falun Dafa. Despite her critical condition, the court insisted on her imprisonment.
Agents from the Jinzhou City 610 Office arrested Ms. Xu on January 16, 2013. Ms. Xu went on a hunger strike and refused to cooperate. She was released 13 days later. The 610 Office submitted her case to the procuratorate.
Judge Li Jie of Taihe District Criminal Court forced Ms. Xu to appear in court on July 10, 2013. Ms. Xu was too weak to stand trial. It lasted only 30 minutes.
Taihe District Court informed Ms. Xu that she was sentenced to four and half years in September 2013. Understanding that Ms. Xu was physically ill, the court still tried to place her in prison. Their plan failed several times.
The court took Ms. Xu to the Third Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning Medical College in Jinzhou City for a check up on February 19, 2014. Her blood pressure was 240/120 mmHg and her heart rate was too high. The doctor demanded that she be hospitalized because her life was in danger.
Zhang Nan and two others from Taihe District Court broke into Ms. Xu's home and took her to a detention center at 10 a.m. on February 25, 2014. The detention center refused to take her because of her poor health, but Zhang insisted on keeping her in the detention center.
Ms. Xu's husband went to Taihe District Court to demand her release the next day. The hospital said that the previous checkup from February 19 was no longer valid and that she must be checked again before she could be released on medical parole.
