(Minghui.org) Mr. Wang Kejun, about 30, a Falun Gong practitioner from Shaping Town, Yibin City in Sichuan Province, got a phone call at 2 p.m. on March 11, 2014, from a man offering to help him find a job. This was the pretext used by Nanan Domestic Security officers in Yibin City to try to get information from Mr. Wang – information that they could use against him, to arrest and persecute him as a Falun Gong practitioner.
When Mr. Wang went to the designated meeting place, he was greeted by a Mr. Ta Jian, who seemed kind and genial. Ta started to chat with Mr. Wang and encouraged him to explain his circumstances so that Ta could supposedly help him find employment.
When Ta didn't get the information he was looking for, he switched tactics. He said that he knew that Mr. Wang practiced Falun Gong and that it was against the law and an evil religion. Mr. Wang denied these statements.
Mr. Wang Threatened
Ta then pointed at another man in the room, someone surnamed Jiang, who appeared to be a plainclothes officer. He said that Jiang was a “special employee.”
Ta also said that Mr. Wang had more than one cell phone and many telephone calling cards. He threatened Mr. Wang, telling him to hand them over, because such cards are used by Falun Gong practitioners to send truth-clarification text messages.
Mr. Wang Under Surveillance and Cell Phone Confiscated
Ta gave an example of a practitioner, a senior engineer, who “refused to cooperate” and was given a prison sentence. He also said that Mr. Wang had been under surveillance for a long time. Jiang had already been to Mr. Wang's home pretending to check his residential status.
They forced Mr. Wang to hand over his cell phone and said they would give him another one so they could stay in contact with him. Mr. Wang saw through their intent and refused to accept it.
The next morning, Mr. Wang received a phone call from Ta at 8 a.m., telling him to come to the office to complete a certain procedure. Mr. Wang refused and has since left home to avoid arrest.
The Domestic Security Office is not willing to let this go and is currently looking for Mr. Wang.
