(Minghui.org) Ms. Liang Jinjun and Ms. Zhao Xiulan were recently arrested by Linghai police officers while they were visiting friends. They were detained for seven days.
Ms. Liang Jinjun from Linghai, Jinzhou, was visiting an elderly fellow practitioner on March 25, 2014. Zhang Tienan, captain of the Linghai Domestic Security Division, arrived soon after with three officers (two male and one female). Zhang was in plainclothes. A male officer in uniform made a video recording while searching the room, and the other male officer searched outside. The female officer guarded the door.
Officer Zhang asked Ms. Liang, “What are you doing here? Are you practicing Falun Gong? What's your name? Where do you live?” Ms. Liang said, “I came to see my aunt. What has this got to do with Falun Gong? I didn't break the law, and you have no right to ask for my name and address.” Ms. Liang tried to leave, but Zhang stopped her.
When another officer saw several Shen Yun CDs on the bench, Zhang asked Ms. Liang, “Are these yours? What else do you have in your bag?” He tried to grab her bag, but she wouldn't let it go, so he pinched her neck.
Ms. Liang shouted, “You are hooligans, bandits. No wonder people say, 'The bandits were in the mountains, but now they are in the police department.'” Zhang then stopped.
Four more police officers arrived to take Ms. Liang away. They asked where she lived, but she refused to answer. One of the officers said, "I know where she lives—I have followed her for three years." They pushed and dragged her into the police car, drove to her home and ransacked her place without a warrant. They took Falun Gong books, a picture of Master Li, a computer, a printer, a satellite receiver dish, and 125 yuan in cash bills that had Falun Gong information written on them.
Ms. Zhao Xiulan went to Ms. Liang's home to visit at around 10:00 a.m. and saw the door open. She went inside and saw several plainclothes officers. She quickly walked out, but two officers chased her and dragged her back, searched her, and found 200 yuan with Falun Gong information written on it, and stickers with “Dafa is good” on them. Ms. Liang and Ms. Zhao were taken to the Linghai Police Department.
Six to seven officers led by Jinzhou police officer Bai Ning searched Ms. Zhao's home at 1:00 p.m. They took all the Dafa books, a poster, a printer, a satellite receiver dish, and 400 yuan in cash bills with Falun Gong information written on them. They even took the power cable for the electric rice cooker and cell phone chargers, and made a mess of the house.
Ms. Liang and Ms. Zhao were taken to the Jinzhou Detention Center after 5:00 p.m. and held for seven days.
