(Minghui.org) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution.

Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

In the three years that Ding Yuanyuan, the chief of the Pingjiang County Political and Legal Affairs Committee in Yueyang City, was in office, he persecuted 125 Falun Gong practitioners. Three were illegally sentenced. Eight were sent to forced labor camps.

Ding, 56, died of cancer in 2017. It was said that he suddenly died in a restroom at work.

Fang Yuanmo, the head of the 610 Office and deputy chief of the Pingjiang County Political and Legal Affairs Committee, was involved in persecuting 548 practitioners over the past ten years. He was diagnosed with rectal cancer and hospitalized last year.

Several former chiefs and deputy chiefs were also said to have received karmic retribution due to their involvement in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners:

Xu Jiaofan, a former chief, was involved in persecuting 56 Falun Gong practitioners. He suffered from heart disease and underwent heart surgery.

Xu Donghai, former deputy chief, was also involved in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. He was later diagnosed with lung cancer.

He Xiuqi, former deputy chief, died of cancer at the age of 59.

Zeng Pingyuan served as a chief for two years and persecuted 68 Falun Gong practitioners. He suffers from heart disease.

Zhou Huguan is the current chief. When he was the Party Secretary in Meixian, he persecuted over 120 practitioners. He was later diagnosed with cancer.

Tang Chengji, a former court president, was actively involved in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. He had a sudden stroke in February 2017 and died at the age of 42.
