(Minghui.org) A Beijing man was visiting his father when more than a dozen agents broke in and seized him.
This is not the first time that Mr. Zhao Bingzhong has been targeted for refusing to renounce Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime. The 49-year-old was imprisoned between 2002 and 2010, during which time his wife divorced him and his mother died from stress.
Mr. Zhao’s latest arrest was followed by a search of his father’s house, his car, and his own home. Only a police chief surnamed Wang showed his ID, and his officers confiscated 16 CDs, 3 flash drives, and 20 calendars that bore Falun Gong messages. They also took away Mr. Zhao’s 13 bank cards and 2 cell phones.
Mr. Zhao was interrogated a total of three times, and he refused to answer the police’s questions. The local procuratorate issued a formal arrest against him on October 25.
His school-age son and his father, who is in his 80s, are left behind at home to fend for themselves.
