(Minghui.org) Ms. Shang Yushen, a Falun Gong practitioner from Hengshui City, Hebei Province, is being held at the Hengshui Detention Center.
She has been tortured, kept in handcuffs and shackles, and forced to sleep on the concrete floor.
Officers from the Shenzhou City Police Station arrested her on April 15, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong at Anping County, Hengshui. Her home was ransacked and her personal belongings confiscated by officers from the Hexi Police Station in Hengshui.
Ms. Shang was first held in the Shenzhou Detention Center, and then transferred to the Hengshui Detention Center on April 18.
Ms. Shang's attorney visited her on May 5 and was told that she had been mistreated because she would not wear the prison uniform or do the hard labor.
Before she began practicing Falun Gong, Ms. Shang suffered from uterine fibroids and body swelling. Even though she was sick and had little money, she had to support her mother, as well as her daughter, who was about to go to college.
After she began practicing Falun Gong, she lived by its principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, to be a good person. Gradually her illnesses disappeared and she became a healthy and kind person.
Ms. Shang greatly appreciates that Falun Gong saved her life, and she tells everyone she meets about how wonderful Falun Gong is and how the Chinese Communist Party is persecuting people that practice it.
