(Minghui.org) Ms. Wang Yanyan worked at the Beijing Automotive Research Institute. She was arrested along with her father on April 13, 2017. Ms. Wang lost her job on January 4, 2017, after she sued Jiang Zemin for launching the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999.
Ms. Wang is a Falun Gong practitioner from Taikang County, Henan Province. Officers from the Beijing 610 Office, the Shunyi 610 Office, and from Taikang County came to Ms. Wang's workplace, the Beijing Automotive Research Institute, on December 28, 2016. They questioned her about her lawsuit against Jiang and demanded she write a “repentance statement” to nullify it. Ms. Wang refused.
On January 4, 2017, the head of the Human Resources Department told Ms. Wang that the company could no longer take the pressure from both Beijing and the Henan police, and she had to resign. The HR head also asked for her address.
Ms. Wang and her father Mr. Wang Fengde were arrested at their home in Beijing by officers from the Renhe Police Station in Shunyi District, Beijing, on April 13, 2017. The officers pretended to be property management staff and tricked Ms. Wang and her father into opening the door.
More than 12 plainclothes officers forced their way in. Only one was in police uniform. They ransacked the place, and confiscated a printer and Falun Gong materials. They demanded to know who the items belonged to. One officer said that Henan police told them to arrest Ms. Wang and her father, and they had already delayed arresting them for two months.
Ms. Wang and her father were taken away by the officers that morning. Her elder sister, a two-year-old child, and her mother, who is paralyzed and cannot cake care of herself, were left at home.
One police officer came to her home again that afternoon and questioned her sister. He demanded to know if she practices Falun Gong, where she works, whose printer it is, whether her husband practices Falun Gong, and where he works.
