(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners from Vancouver were warmly received at the annual Teddy Bear Picnic Grande Parade held in the city of Coquitlam on June 11, 2017. The Mayor of Coquitlam commended the practitioners for bringing peace and goodness to the community.
The Falun Gong entry featured the Tian Guo Marching Band, a waist drum team, a float and a demonstration of the Falun Gong exercises. Many Chinese immigrants said positive things about practitioners' parade display.

The Mayor of the city of Coquitlam, Mr. Richard Stewart, had his photo taken with the Tian Guo Marching Band at the end of the parade. He welcomed the practitioners and commended their involvement in community activities.
Member of Parliament Mr. Fin Donnelly thanked the practitioners for bringing the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance to communities in Canada.

Ms. Yang, a physician from China who came to visit her daughter in Coquitlam, was among the spectators. She said, "People in the Falun Gong group look peaceful."
Richard, a gardening engineer from China, has been living in Canada for nearly 20 years. He came to watch the parade with over a dozen people, including his family and neighbors. He remarked that Falun Gong practitioners were in high spirits, and their lineup was magnificent.
