(Minghui.org) The OpenART 2017 is held in Örebro, Sweden on June 18 through September 10. Artists across the world show their works in the city during this event.
Falun Gong practitioners conducted activities on a downtown square in Örebro on June 17, 2017 to introduce the practice. They set up large banners worded “Falun Dafa, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,” “Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong,” etc. Falun Gong information materials were available, and the practitioners demonstrated the five exercises. Many passersby stopped to watch, take photos, and read the flyers. The materials exposed the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Practitioners Kristina, Werner, and Maria explained what Falun Gong is and what happened in the CCP's persecution of practitioners via a loudspeaker to the artists from around the world. They exposed the CCP's state-sanctioned live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners for profit, and called on kindhearted people to help stop the brutality. Many people were stunned at the CCP's live organ harvesting and signed the petition opposing the persecution.
One young couple, Camilla and Niko, were startled at the CCP's live organ harvesting and signed the petition. While they talked with a practitioner, their young daughter followed the hand gestures of the practitioners who were demonstrating the exercises.
Emma, a middle-aged shop owner, read the posters and talked with practitioners. She signed the petition, and said, “I like this meditation practice. It is so serene and peaceful. I feel refreshed standing here.” She said she would learn more about Falun Gong after going home. She asked for more flyers and said she would put them in her shop to let more people know about the practice.
An elder lady visitor said that she had visited Shanghai in the 1990s and saw many people practicing Falun Gong in the park in the mornings. She was impressed with the practice. She condemned the CCP's infringement of human rights and persecution of belief. She signed the petition against the persecution.
Some visitors asked about local practice sites and expressed their interest in learning Falun Gong.
