(Minghui.org) Several days ago, one of my coworkers told others that one of her friends was diagnosed with late-stage breast cancer and was dying. Just as I was about to explain to her the health benefits of Falun Dafa, this coworker looked at me and said that she was a Falun Dafa practitioner.
I was unprepared and did not know how to respond. After thinking about it, I realized that we need to look at this from several angles.
For practitioners, cultivation practice is serious. If one just does the exercises without improving xinxing based on the Fa, he or she may still be subject to an everyday person's fate, including death. However, this reasoning may not be easily understood or accepted by an everyday person.
People come down with all kinds of illnesses and are suffering. The rate of death or getting sick among practitioners is much lower than for people of ordinary society. This is something we can tell people.
Plus, we can cite our own experiences and share how the practice has improved us physically and mentally.
Speaking of myself, I am in my 50s and I have not worried about my health since I began to practice Dafa 19 years ago. My family and friends have all witnessed my excellent health history.
When we talk about practitioners in China, we can share many stories about practitioners having improved their health after stepping into this cultivation practice. Even some that have recovered from incurable illnesses.
Since the onset of the suppression in 1999, many were forced to give up their faith, and consequently their health deteriorated. This is a valid example to explain the health conditions of practitioners.
When encountering such situations, we should ask for detailed information if possible. This way, we can either clarify the situation or at least share our own experiences.
