(Minghui.org) Susan first heard of Falun Gong (also called Falun Dafa) a long time ago when she received a flier about this traditional mind-body cultivation practice and the persecution in China. When she encountered Falun Gong again at the “Holistic Festival of Life and Wellness” at the Plano Convention Center on June 25, she decided that this was the exercise for her and her mother.
Introducing Falun Gong (also called Falun Dafa) to visitors at the Holistic Festival of Life and Wellness.
Visitors to the festival, generally open to exploring paths to physical and spiritual health, were very interested in Falun Gong.
A percussion player had problem with his fingers and arms after practicing and performing for 44 years. He was very happy to find Falun Gong and immediately asked for specifics about the next free teaching session.
Mark, a former athlete, commented that Falun Gong was the best exercise he'd found and he and his friends were very interested in learning it.

Falun Dafa practitioners also talked to people about the persecution in China, which has been ongoing for the past 18 years.
Dolian, another festival visitor, said that he had business with a Chinese company many years ago and had lived in China for a period of time. He often saw a large group of people practicing Falun Gong in a park near his apartment before the persecution started in 1999.
“(The Communist Party) doesn't give Chinese people freedom,” said Dolian. He signed a petition condemning the Chinese Communist Party's forced organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners in China.
Miryam, a retired teacher, asked what she could do to help stop the forced organ harvesting then signed the petition.
For Cheryl, signing the petition was just a start. She took some fliers and a schedule of free exercise teaching sessions to share with her friends. “It is incredible that a peaceful exercise would experience such a brutal persecution,” she remarked.
