(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners gathered in La Roche-sur-Yon on August 5 to introduce the Chinese meditation practice and inform the public about the ongoing suppression of Falun Gong in China. Located in Western France, La Roche-sur-Yon is the largest city and capital of the Vendée department.
On Napoléon Square in the center of the city, practitioners displayed posters, demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises, and told passersby about the meditation and self-improvement system. Many people stopped to learn more and talked with practitioners about the persecution in China.

Right after practitioners set up their table in the morning, two men came up and signed petitions condemning the persecution. “We have heard about the brutality in China, and we really hope it will stop soon,” one of them said.
A young woman working on human rights issues was shocked by the crimes committed against practitioners in China. She said she would follow up on the issue and do her best to help.
A man from Djibouti signed the petition, as did his friends from Somalia.
Tourists also stopped to learn more about Dafa. After a man from Djibouti talked with a practitioner and learned of the state-sanctioned killing of practitioners for their organs in China, he translated for his five friends from Somalia. They all signed a petition that would be forwarded to the United Nations, urging the body to stop the atrocities in China.
One family traveling from Morocco stopped at the table and asked questions. They signed the petition and thanked practitioners for telling them such important information.
Some people were eager to learn the Dafa exercises and asked where they could find group practice sites. One of them encouraged the practitioners, “Glad you told me this. Otherwise, I would not know anything about it. Please keep it up!”
