(Minghui.org) Three Falun Gong practitioners from Huaihua City in Hunan Province were arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong. They were released after being interrogated.
Ms. Yang Xiuying, Ms. Li Sanmei, and Ms. He Zongfang went to the Mayingtang Farmers Market in Zhijiang County, Huaihua City, to tell people the truth about Falun Gong on July 19, 2017. Eight police officers came and arrested them.
The police confiscated the bags the three practitioners carried. The bags contained Minghui magazines, small brochures, and DVDs about Falun Gong. In Ms. Yang and Ms. He’s bags, they found 191 yuan bills with messages about Falun Gong printed on them.
The practitioners were taken to the police station, where they tried to explain the facts to the officers, but they refused to listen. The practitioners were then moved to the police department headquarters and interrogated and asked for their names and addresses. The women advised the police not to follow Jiang Zemin to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.
One officer said that he wanted to follow Jiang Zemin's order to persecute Falun Gong. Another said he did not mind if he was punished for doing it.
The police emptied the practitioners' bags on a table and took pictures. They told the practitioners to sign the list of items. When the women refused, the police grabbed their hands and made them sign.
The practitioners were released at around 2 p.m. They asked for the return of their belongings, but the police refused to give them back.
