(Minghui.org) Master has reminded us many times concerning cell phone security issues. However, there are still practitioners who ignore the warning. They have been arrested or forced to leave their homes to escape being persecuted. We need to learn from these lessons and not let the old forces exploit our loopholes over and over again.
A practitioner asked a question regarding this issue at the “Fa Teaching at the 2016 New York Fa conference.” Master responded:
“Disciple: May I ask Master to talk more about the issue of safety in cellphone use.
Master: There isn't much to talk about here. You are carrying a listening device on you. Besides spies and governments, anyone is able to monitor you at will, and it's very simple. That's all it is, and whether you keep it on or off, it doesn't make any difference. I am speaking here, and you know, the evil CCP is listening over there as well.”
A practitioner's home was ransacked by police just before he was to go abroad. His passport, identification card and bank cards were confiscated. He wasn't home when the police arrived, but had to go into hiding to avoid further persecution.
He told us, “I didn't tell anyone I was going abroad. I was very cautious when contacting practitioners abroad, and I used the Minghui website internal mailbox to contact them. How could the police have known?”
We assume that his phone was tapped. He once filed a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin, the former leader of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and hadn't changed his phone number. He thought that because he hadn't been harassed by the police, he would be alright.
However, he ignored the fact that he had his phone with him when he was talking at home with his family about going abroad. He was carrying a listening device and told the police everything.
One practitioner's relative works as an Internet monitor. He told this practitioner, “All Falun Gong practitioners are under such surveillance.”
We remind practitioners not to carry your cell phones with you when talking about Falun Gong related issues, basically, about anything that is deemed sensitive.
